“Had a spontaneous lunch at Gaucho today with a friend and our server, Mathew, was absolutely fantastic. He’s easily one of the best waiters I’ve ever had — warm, friendly, and genuinely attentive. He made sure we were comfortable and checked in throughout without ever being intrusive. His service really made our experience special, and I would highly recommend him to anyone dining here! Our meals were all very good, especially the size and batter on the fish. Was crispy, not wet or stodgy at all. The owner Sam was very friendly, welcoming and went out of his way to accommodate us. He even threw in extra chips and a really lovely fresh salad for free. My mum was fascinated by how clean the shop was too. Would definitely visit again and recommend to others. All over great experience from start to finish!!”

“As a huge fan of Persian & Iranian cuisine, I have to say that this place is a solid 10. The garlic and sesame naan was fragrant and deliciously paired with the juicy koobideh kebab. The rice were fragrant and the flavours enhanced when we asked for some butter to go with them. Good indoor and outdoor seating. Attentive service. Fair pricing about £25pp”

“I seriously love my fish and chips and this was hands down the best fish and chips I’ve ever had in my life. Everything was completely made to order and boy was it worth the wait. The batter was so crispy but not greasy and the fish was so juicy and succulent in the middle. It was literally cooked to perfection. The chips were amazing too. Not to crispy and not to soggy. A perfect blend and you can tell they use really good potatoes. Really friendly service in lovely little area. Just a shame I don’t live closer as would be here every Friday! Highly recommend!!”

“This place deserves much higher review points. Everything is perfect. Literally perfect It has been around many years. Feels so cosy with carpet and cushion decoration. Lighting and music really on point and good. Really helpful staff. Enough time between the meals. Had beef tartare and tempura squid and prawn as a starter. Burger and beef stroganoff for main. Cost around £60 per person inc service charge which is really reasonable for the quality they are providing. Thanks”

“We’ve visit The Britannia several times over the past few years (every time we visited Richmond) and the experience was great every single time. On our most recent visit we tried the cheese soufflé, the fish and chip and the turbot. Every dish was delicious, fish on both mains was cooked to perfection, service was friendly and courteous. Wine list is great as well. Highly recommend for a great night out and exceptional food experience.”
