“Absolutely fantastic experience! Attended Donnelly’s after meeting friends in Bermondsey. From start to finish the staff were attentive, courteous and prompt and the food was quick to come out (good because we were starving). To start I had the pate which was rich and flavourful and came served a wedge of crusty bread - an excellent accompaniment to balance the flavour. For my main I had the pollock which was delightful and light and seasoned to perfection. To finish I had millionaires shortbread, a dessert that never fails to satisfy me and in this case exceeded even my expectations with every mouthful. All in all an exemplary meal with outstanding service from the start and throughout.”

The curry was rich and flavorful, and the sweet and sour pork had just the right balance of tanginess and sweetness. The dishes tasted authentic, and the portions were generous. The prices are very reasonable for what you get, and the owner is really friendly, which makes the experience even better. Definitely worth a visit!!”

“Couldn't fault a thing. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The room was beautifully presented and clean with great facilities. It was quiet, comfortable and we had a great night's sleep. Breakfast was included and it was top notch - without doubt the best buffet breakfast we have ever had in a UK hotel. Even the coffee was delicious! We would definitely stay there or at another Toby Carvery again and would highly recommend it.”
