“Wonderful. That probably doesn't do it justice. The location is idyllic. The house is gorgeous and the restaurant is beautifully decorated. We sat outside as it was a lovely day with a spectacular view across the valley. We went for the set menu. It's not cheap but actually it's not unreasonable for the quantity and quality of the food. A few surprises (ants - deliberately - on the sushi) which were utterly delicious. We had different choices and every one of them was fantastic. Service was brilliant - friendly and informative - and the whole experience was unrushed, relaxed and sublime. Couldn't have had a better celebration of our anniversary. I also can't reccommend it enough.”

“Have eaten here 6 times now and always enjoyed authentic cooking with fresh distinctive flavours. The management team and staff are attentive and knowledgeable on the subject of their menus. Wednesday’s banquet night is a real treat where you can eat la carte and try their house specialities at reduced rates. If you want a standard curry option they are well executed too.”

“Despite all the bad reviews listed on here we had a good experience. We pulled up outside the shop and ordered online through the app to get the best deals, the app updated us on the progress and it was a smooth and efficient process. All the food was hot and fresh, no complaints at all!”

“Walked in late lunch. Ordered bacon and egg soft bap. After debating which bread I wanted roll, sandwich or soft bap. Has got to be one of the best and reasonably priced lunch break for a long time. Staff very friendly and willing to help. And will literally go out of their way to accommodate if possible. Amazing service and food”

“Absolutely delightful! We enjoyed a lovely lunch at the Garden House, where we were treated to an impressive selection of drinks, including a variety of refreshing non-alcoholic cocktails. The staff was exceptionally attentive and knowledgeable about the menu, enhancing our dining experience. The food was delectable, and the dessert was wonderfully indulgent! We took a stroll through some of the gardens, though we found that many areas are reserved for members or guests only. Overall, it was a memorable experience!”

“This restaurant is amazing. The staff are ALL superb. Their skill is clear and their empathy and kindness is exceptional. We went here for my Mum's 93rd Birthday they could not have gone out of their way more to make the occasion special. The food is totally excellent and worth every penny. Jemima our waitress was brilliant. The hostess Annabel was the best we have ever seen. She was totally " on " everything that was happening in the whole restaurant. Josh the manager was empathetic and impressive. The venue is unbeatable. Choose this restaurant for the special things and the every day events and they will make everything special.”

“We are visiting from Australia for five weeks, and just called in for a drink. Atmosphere was so good and the girl who served us was so inviting we said we would come back another day before we left. Two weeks later we stopped in for another drink and decided to stay for a meal. Wonderful food, same welcoming waitress again. The cousins we were staying with who live in Horsley who hadn’t been to the restaurant stall, heard all about this place. We ALL went back today and shared a wonderful lunch, our same waitress was there and a wonderful older man who told lots of ‘nice’ jokes. Love this place. “A recommended choice if you look for good food, often with a twist to keep it interesting. Highlight for us were the muscles, fish, pumpkin stuffed pasta, the very low alcohol beer and deserts. But I would trust the chef with anything. Everything was cooked on point. The staff was lovely and happy to ensure we were comfortable and looked after. We spend a bit more on drinks however the meal prices were entirely worth the price and reasonable. A real food highlight for the area and definitely the choice for bringing guests. Thank you for a lovely evening”

“I have been to L’ULTIMO twice, about 14 months apart, and I can say that I sincerely regret not going more often. The food on offer is fantastic, with rich flavours and plenty of choice available. The pricing is very reasonable given the amount of speciality food on offer as well. The customer service has been outstanding on both occasions. I look forward to going again in the near future.”

A lovely pub, staff seemed very nice too even though it was hot and they were bringing out lots of food to customers. Toilets were clean, plenty of parking out the front and side plus a car charger which is convenient.”

“For me going for an Indian isn’t just about the food but the experience. We went on a Tuesday night and the staff were sensational, they greeted us at the door with a smile and even complimented my friends new leather jacket he was wearing. The food was brilliant and for our step father he said “it took him back home” (he is of Indian descent although born in Mozambique). The chef special of a lamb shank was brilliant too. The ambience was great with some fanatic music really setting the scene for a great night and traditional food. The only downside was as we went at 6pm on a Tuesday there was a slight wait on food due to it being so busy. My only advice was book in advance as you’ll struggle to get a seat.”

“If I could I would give everything ten stars! Came here last night as we had a voucher to use and boy was we not disappointed! From sitting out on the decking, to the wonderful food, to the excellent staff it was just a joy from start to finish. The waitress staff was superb with their politeness, knowledge of the food and always smiling! So thank you very much to Anna and Megan - you have two wonderful members of staff there! Thank you also to Luke who was everything you should expect from a front of house manager. You three made our experience even better! Only one small complaint I would say the bottles of coke should be bigger. £5 is quite excessive for a 200ml bottle of coke and pretty high considering I know how much a case costs. We have already recommended to our friends and can’t wait to come back!”
