“Latest: Took the dog here, they really are dog friendly! It is a shame the bar lady lacked manners and the ability to treat people like customers, she really let the place down. There was no fight or argument, this must be her normal demeanour. It puts me off going again. Original: Friendly, old fashioned pub. Bar staff are very good”

“This restaurant is an absolute gem, with authentic Calabrian food on offer in a fantastic atmosphere, with warm, friendly, and excellent service. The food is competitively priced with other restaurants in the area, but the portions are generous, with a wonderful menu that will have you struggling to make a choice quickly, and quality is unrivalled! Expect to pay around £30 per head with drinks, which was, in my opinion, excellent value. I wouldn’t only recommend this restaurant, but advise anyone in, or visiting Filey to enjoy a dining experience here! Fantastic!!”

“You have to visit here. There's no other place like it. The menu is very reasonably priced, you'd find it hard to beat and they make really good voffee. My dad first took me here about 50 years ago. It has alot of history. On today's visit I tried the food. Chicken Curry was good. The whole bill was value for money.”

“An Authentic English Pub! This is a real English pub! With more than 300 years of history it has many stories to tell. Highway men drank at this pub. WWI wounded Aussies at the local hospital drank at this pub. Royalty visited this pub. It has real history! Low ceilings. Cosy sitting areas. Well stocked bar. Sunday lunch was excellent! Real pub food! Roast lamb and veg was as good as it gets. But what makes this pub stand out is the people. Wonderful serving staff. Bar manager was attentive, calm, talking effortlessly to every guest. Every one there was a local. Elderly people in their 80’s having a traditional Sunday roast. Listening to the locals was a pleasure. Endless stories. Lots of laughter. These are the real English people you won’t get in a fancy London pub. This is a pub where you are welcome. Just when you think it can’t get any better an “Arthur Daly” lookalike turned up and took over the conversation!!! THE KINGS ARMS IS A GREAT ENGLISH PUB! Worth the visit!”

“Opening day today. Have been waiting with anticipation and not disappointed. The interior of this italian restaurant is elegant and modern, the staff welcoming and the menu has something for everyone fish seafood,chicken, salads, vegetables,lamb, veal and a good range of starters mains and desserts. At the moment it's bring your own bottle too.My wife and I enjoyed our meal very much a welcome addition to the neighbourhood.”

“We needed somewhere to celebrate a life. We were lucky enough to choose Lisa's bar at the Stockley Park Golf Clubhouse. They provided a really good buffet for around 100 guests. We were able to display some memories on a TV screen. The service and everything about the day made a very sad occasion as pleasant as possible. Staff were all great. Happily recommend for any occasion. Thank all involved.”

“What a great little find! Well, the pub isn’t little by any stretch but very nicely decorated, with impeccable staff and food. All plates were generous in size, kids meal also quite bit with loads of chunky chips! Great meeting point with lovely views of the lakes.”

“We enjoyed our first meal here. - we had prawn Murta, prawn biriyani, popadoms, rice and aloo gobi and a couple of soft drinks. Bill for both of us was £50 which we felt was very fair. We gave a tip as it wasn’t included in the bill. Service was excellent. Definitely will go again.”

“I really like this restaurant on the high street. The service is great and the decor and atmosphere is nice too. Never rushed to leave after finishing dinner, rather get left until we ask for the bill. It’s great for kids too as they have a nice mix of dishes which are big enough for my 13 and 10 year old girls. Food is nice a flavoursome. The staff here are all really nice and will give us good advice on the types of dishes we might like. I am a bit adventurous with my food and my family rather like the same. I always try different things and so far everything has been amazing and causes me to keep coming back. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting some tasty food. It’s restaurants like this that we need to remain on our high streets. Keep up the great work and we look forward to coming back soon.”
