There’s also a variety of sandwiches & pastries. The owner is always there ensuring a high level of service & quality. Friendly staff & atmosphere. The secret garden at the back makes it a nice spot in the summer after a nice stroll by the river. Definitely worth a try.”

“Family owned since 1988? You can tell, as they are so rightly proud of this well run cafe. Clean and plentiful seating (40+ seats), with clean toilet for patrons. Wide-ranging menu. Ordered the ‘set 4’ breakfast, and which was served piping hot and was absolutely delicious! Had more breakfasts that I can count at cafes and this was one of the best. Staff welcoming and friendly and engage in conversation readily. Will be sure to visit again next time I’m in North Finchley.”

“We popped in while en route to the Dulux paint store. Just googled them to find a coffee nearby. Wowza. What a treat. Had the turkey, Brie and cranberry on a crunchy baguette. Hubby had the egg breakfast bap. Manager greeted many local customers by name. Even knew their orders. I’d treck back again. Oh! The coffee was lovely too!”

“Really friendly cafe. I'd travelled a long way with my tiny puppy to the vet and needed a hot drink and snack and to use the bathroom. The tea and pork sandwich hit the spot perfectly. The owner and fellow diners were so nice and friendly to the puppy and let me feed and water her too. It seemed like a very local personal place. There are a couple of Portuguese cafes in Walthamstow where i live and i would say the Bifana here was tastier!”

“We always have a great time at the Coffee Room. Coffee and food is good. And they even serve alcohol! They also have a rewards scheme. The staff are lovely especially Jesse. She is real asset, always so welcoming and friendly. There is a garden at the back which has a roof that opens and there are heaters. Downstairs is a room where you can study or read. A must visit!”

“I was early for work and couldn't access the building I needed. So I had a quick look for a coffee and a small bite to eat and spotted this little cafe. It was fairly quiet for a Monday morning, which was a surprise. I had just a coffee and croissant with cannelloni. Both were fresh and tasted great. The price was reasonable, considering I would have paid almost twice as much at most mainstream brands for a coffee alone.”
