“Wonderful nursery and amazing team here that has been looking after my child incredibly well for the last two years. They have been all very knowledgeable, caring and very supportive during every stages of my child's development. They plan lots of activities with and for children, encouraging participation from parents as well. Very quickly, the staff built the trust that I was very confident that kids grow and develop in a safe and comfortable environment in this nursery. The surroundings are beautiful as well. In addition to well-designed outdoor play area, the Chorleywood Estate gives unbelievable access to different animals, long walks, free play area in the nature. Lots of places to park your car too, which sometimes becomes an important thing to consider during busy drop off and pick up times. Overall, lovely community feel - highly recommend!”

“Have been coming here for a year and a half now seeing Christine and honestly I would not go to any other salon ever again. Christine is a star and understands my hair needs... At this point she doesn't even need to check with me what I want as she already knows. The other ladies here are so lovely and friendly and approachable. “I started going to The Wonderlab 10 yrs ago when they opened, I am still going there now. It is a really friendly environment, great on advice on hair colouring and cuts to suit your hair and life style. Even fabulous bride and mother of the bride hair styles which we were lucky to have in 2019. The stylists are all great, so if my favourite stylist is unavailable, I have no qualms on booking in with one of the others! Hopefully The Wonderlab will carry on for another 10 years and more!”

“I had a wonderful experience. Firstly, there is a huge variety of options particularly for bridal wear. This is some of the best and most real looking artificial jewellery in the U.K. (even though many of the gemstones are natural stones too). The gold plating is done amazingly and the standard of the jewellery is very high. The team give you attention and can custom order to your desired colour and style. I highly reccomend.”

“Been meaning to leave a review for a very long time, however managed to forget..probably due to the fantastic friendly service we always receive from the team. We are always welcomed with open arms and the team bend over backwards to accommodate us. I must shout out the whole team… they’re all amazing… however, Becks has served us since we first started coming here, since moving in locally, before Jason the Head Chef joined, she was the main reason for our return. Jason joined, the food has been out of this world… I would recommend the roasts - they’re delicious! The beef is served pink and the vegetables are cooked perfectly and well seasoned. It’s always a pleasure coming to visit The Black Horse and we cannot recommend it enough. Final shout out to Becks, Jason… our favourites… and of course Harry, Layla, Ben, Jess, Jack and Ollie. ❤️❤️❤️”

“Really lovely place with so much character. An amazing Sunday roast dinner was had. The meat was succulent, tender and full of flavour. The veg was cooked to perfection. Super tasty Yorkshire puds and gravy. We shared a super serving of cauliflower cheese and pigs in blankets. Sat next to a roaring fire. Bliss. Highly recommend this place 100%.”

The staff were attentive, friendly, and made sure everything went smoothly. The food was fantastic—delicious, well-prepared, and served in generous portions. The large outdoor kids' play area kept the little ones entertained, which made our dining experience much more relaxed. “A hidden gem! Had a lovely visit over the weekend, friendly staff, lots of places to sit and have some food or rest by the lake. Honestly it's more of a zoo than a farm with lots of exotic animals. Just to note there is no parking directly on the farm premises unless you hold a blue badge but not really an issue plenty of spaces on roads or if you are lucky within cassiobury park car park.”

Food allergies and care were taken very seriously, on top of there being many options should you have allergies. Amazing food to top it off. Highly recommend to you all. “I've been living in Watford for 12 years and this is the first time I've tried this place. All I can say is, it's outstanding, not just for this area but it's one of the best Fish & Chips I've ever had. The batter was perfect (so many places get this wrong), as was the fish and the portions are HUGE. My son had one of the equally massive sausages wrapped in bacon, again, very good indeed. Service was nice and friendly and we didn't wait long for a freshly cooked takeaway. I wish I had found this 'plaice' a long time ago. (Banana in the photo for scale)”

“First time visit. Very cosy pub. We ordered two starters each for four people, along with mini dessert, including hot drinks. Food very tasty. Staff were polite and accommodating towards our needs and had a chuckle at our order. It's quite different for me but enjoyable. There are plenty of car parking spaces. Would definitely go again and recommend a visit.”
