“I visited Subway recently and was served by Joe. Despite the store being clearly understaffed and a constant stream of Deliveroo orders coming in, Joe remained calm, patient, and professional throughout. It did take a bit longer than usual to get my order, but it was clear the delay wasn’t his fault – he was handling a lot on his own. Joe made sure to greet every customer politely, took time to get each order right, and didn’t let the pressure affect his service. I really appreciated his positive attitude and attention to detail, even in a hectic situation. If anything, Subway needs to make sure their staff aren’t left to manage such a high workload alone. Joe did a great job under the circumstances, and his customer service deserves recognition. I visited on the 29th June 2025 around 17:30.”

“We went for brunch and both had the bacon on sourdough ciabatta with black pudding and one with a fried egg. They were much larger than expected (no complaint there!), perfectly cooked and delicious. Allergens were checked for on ordering. The staff were pleasant, polite and helpful. Loved the style and atmosphere, looking forward to going again. Oh and the coffee was fab!”

“This OPenshaw Superstore is a smaller version of the main one just up the hill on 1323 Ashton Old Road. In this smaller store also, they are quite well stocked. Not so crowded, just that the ailes are not well spaced. Just like all these Asian store, they are stocked with Afican food stuffs. Their stuff are not too well spoken in English neither are they very helpfull when you need help with any item you want to buy. Most of the time you would see the guy at the checkout on his phone and with a straight face you cannot even ask him a question. However, if you muster the courage to speak to him, he might be helpful...”
