“This is one of our local go-to places and it kept us sane throughout the autumn and spring lockdowns. Great coffee and friendly service, top tunes and now toasties and also booze! What's not to like? The seating is outdoors but some of it is covered and they have blankets for when it's cold. Top marks!”

“Really helpful customer assistant. Wish I could remember his name. Called in late afternoon Saturday. Items we wanted assistant said had to be ordered; wouldn't arrive until midday Sunday. No good for us as we were leaving the caravan site Sunday morning. Then something came into his mind and he looked on computer and the items were in stock in the Bolton store. Said we could pay and then go off and collect them immediately. Brilliant. Did this. Saved us having to drive much further distance to our local Screwfix when we got home. Many thanks”

“A truly wonderful place for an authentic Italian meal and fabulous atmosphere. The staff are friendly and attentive and the atmosphere is cosy and welcoming. Although there are a few Domus Italia or Casa Italia restaurants in Manchester the Didsbury one does not feel like it part of a chain of faceless restaurants. It has a family run vibe and individual atmosphere. It's not a big place but that makes it so much nicer.”

“I visited Costa Gatley Sunday afternoon — a clean, well-maintained store with a cosy atmosphere and a good selection of food options. However, what stood out during my visit was an interaction at the till that left me quite surprised, and not in a good way. When I ordered a medium hot drink, the young girl serving me actively discouraged the choice. She suggested I go for a smaller size, saying: “There’s not much difference in size — go for the small and save some pennies.” As someone who has run a business for over a decade, I found this quite concerning. In most places, staff are trained to upsell — encouraging customers to consider larger sizes or additional items, which is standard practice in retail and hospitality. Her approach, while possibly well-intentioned, directly goes against basic principles of sales and revenue generation. Encouraging customers to spend less, especially unprompted, may seem kind, but it’s ultimately damaging to the business. In my view, this isn’t just unprofessional — it’s a risk to the long-term health of the store. Costa may want to consider reviewing training procedures to ensure staff understand the balance between customer service and commercial awareness. Thank you”

“I regard Anita, the owner of this beautiful Boutique as my personal Florist. Not only is she absolutely amazing at what she does but she is the most wonderfully kind and compassionate person. You can call her with a description of the type of arrangement that you want and Anita will go over and beyond to see that you are never disappointed. This week she created the most incredible Wreath for my Aunt who sadly passed away and I was blown away by the incredible work, love and intricate detail that Anita put into the project. Thank you so much!! I would highly recommend this Business as the go to for all Floral requirements as well as delicious Coffee, Chocolates, Wines and Cards!”

“The cheapest Coke in Town or in anywhere really. Connected with the vouchers and the offers available. Last one was £21 for 48 cans if I am not mistake. Buy more and use the £5 voucher that will make your can of Coke costing around 0.28p to 0.35p per can. Without voucher its around 0.48p per can. They do have different offers and different items. I do kiss the £7 for 30 cans of Coke. The ladies in the shop are very nice and its never too busy in there.”
