“Intimate little restaurant serving fabulous food, all cooked on order by owner and Chef, Mandy. The paella is the best I have ever tasted but don't forget to check the specials board as well. When everything is so good it's ideal that it's tapas, perfect for sharing with family and friends. Menu prices are very reasonable and as it's BYOB, you save money bringing your own alcoholic drinks. (Edit ; they charge that small an amount for corkage i never even noticed until they replied to this review) Friendly, attentive staff in a lovely relaxed atmosphere complete the picture, making this one of my favourite places to bring the people that I love. x”

“Been twice recently, once for breakfast once for a carvery. Both time the food was fantastic, hot, fresh and tasty. The chef came over both times making sure everything was OK and had a chat when we had finished our meals, bar staff are lovely and welcoming too. “Booked a bottomless brunch, quick service and great food and drinks. We did the £5 upgrade for the better cocktails - worth it! Downside, both people had to finish their drinks before being served the others so if one drinks fast, and the other doesn’t you’re losing out because the drinks aren’t flowing. However worth the money. Would book again.”

“Amazing Karak Chai & pink tea!!! Their Mojitos are absolutely amazing I would recommend the Chico’s special!! Their breakfast is affordable and really tasty!!! Donuts are fresh soft and oozing with flavour!!! Would definitely recommend going here with family friends!! Very friendly staff and very family friendly!!”

“Great music (classic rock) and lovely bar staff. Good beer selection with 3 cask, a ton of keg including cider and usually a fruity sour too. Memorabilia on the wall. Sundays are £3/pint of cask.”

“My first time at chiquito and I really enjoyed it. Great food, drinks and atmosphere and the service was amazing. We were served by Tim who was helpful and attentive and a good laugh! Made us feel welcome and like nothing was too much trouble, only in Manchester for the weekend but will definitely come again.”

“Just been to heroes of Waterloo for lunch- 5 adults.We had a table in the restaurant. The choice of food was extensive and comparably priced. The portions were very good, well cooked and presented. The food was of good quality. The service was good, flowed well, not long periods of waiting and at the same time not rushed. Surroundings well maintained and clean Good atmosphere. “Went here Saturday at 12.30, it was a table for 4 and we were seen to our table by a friendly waitress, ordered our meals which took about half an hour, which I thought was good and when they arrived they were all piping hot. Couldn't find fault at all like some of the other reviews, will definitely be back. Lovely little pub. Thank you”

“I had the most incredible dining experience at The Roaches Lock on Sunday! The food was absolutely delicious. The service was outstanding throughout the meal. The waitress kept checking in with us to see if we required more drinks or needed anything else. I can't wait to come back and try more items from their menu.
