“Just been to heroes of Waterloo for lunch- 5 adults.We had a table in the restaurant. The choice of food was extensive and comparably priced. The portions were very good, well cooked and presented. The food was of good quality. The service was good, flowed well, not long periods of waiting and at the same time not rushed. Surroundings well maintained and clean Good atmosphere. “Went here Saturday at 12.30, it was a table for 4 and we were seen to our table by a friendly waitress, ordered our meals which took about half an hour, which I thought was good and when they arrived they were all piping hot. “Not had the pleasure for a while but no need to worry. Usual great beer albeit slightly smaller choice. Awesome bar staff;Lucy even remembered my dog's name after more than a year and miraculously produced a sausage to welcome him back! As for the locals I'd challenge even a Tory MP to leave without making new friends! Best pub in Tameside by far.”

“Been twice recently, once for breakfast once for a carvery. Both time the food was fantastic, hot, fresh and tasty.
