“This is the best travelodge I have stayed in. I have had the opportunity to stay in many over the years and this little travelodge exceeded all expectations. Yes it's an old road side style travelodge ut the staff are friendly and maintain the property very well. The reception smells nice with fresh flowers and the corridor and rooms are exceptionally clean. Well done to the staff going above and beyond.”

“Wow what can i say we had our wedding here 2 weeks ago and it really was the perfect venue. Lucy was amazing and really helpful during the planning and on the day everything went exactly as it should all the staff were amazing on the day! jake was so helpful the night before accomadating a big party for food and was amazing on the wedding day too. John our master of ceromonies was fabulous too. All guests commented on how lovely there room was. We used the Delamere suite to get ready and for our wedding night and it was perfect. Thank you so much to everybody who made our day amazing ❤️”

“We booked a reservation for the Sunday lunch and needless to say the food was amazing, tasty and seasonal veg crunchy. Stayed overnight in one of the corner rooms, which was nice and clean. Staff couldn't do enough for us and were very friendly, cocktails were excellent. Thank you.”

“We chose Hilltop Country House as our wedding venue back in 2020 for our June 2022 wedding. It is perfection - the staff, the food & drink, the surroundings, etc. Our wedding day was simply magical. “Can't fault it for what you pay. We paid £66 per double room and booked 2. My wife, children and I had an overnight stay and thoroughly enjoyed it. Staff where lovely, restaurant area was really nice, building itself from the outside is nice. Yes some bits are maybe a bit dated but what are you expecting for £66 a room.”

“I am giving this place 5 stars not because it is the Ritz but because for the money it was 5 star. Good sized room with everything you need. Large car park. Friendly owners. The breakfast room has been tastefully refurbished and the breakfast was a beautifully cooked clean plate of food. Cereals and grapefruit etc also available. Good quality coffee. All for £46 for a double room. Fantastic value and very close to town.. Highly recommended.”

“Lovely place, having its own separate entrance, spacious room, very comfortable bed, clean and cosy, nice and quiet location. 5min walk from the village. The owners are very friendly and welcoming. We only stayed one night as we attended a wedding but we enjoyed our stay very much.”
