“Found ourselves stuck outside the shop on a Sunday with a bust tire in 28c heat, this amazing lady opened up the shop just so we could get some cold drinks whilst we waited for recovery such a nice gesture goes a long way. Will definitely return to try the food! 10/10 customer service!”

“Great spot for always having at least one gluten free beer on tap, usually a couple. I'm a big fan of when they've got locals like Brightside. Generally a good atmosphere whenever I come. Sometimes a lot busier than others, probably event related as it's very close to a number of live venues. That said, I can often find a seat in the second, quieter room pictured below. I would appreciate GF food options, but I understand this is exceptionally difficult considering they do pizzas. The music is almost never particularly loud, which means you can always converse. The only setback would be that some of the beers can be pricey, but this is absolutely to be expected given they are quality craft beers rather than mass products, and I say this is one of the few spots where it's worth it”

“Popped in for breakfast with elderly Mum whilst in Manchester. Busy, relaxed cafe suitable for all ages and abilities, a bit posher than your usual greasy spoon. Expect to queue, but it moves fast. Food scrumptious, plus vegan friendly eats available. Walls adorned with pictures of Manchester and Oasis. Cheap as chips.”

“Very, very good venue. The quayside theatre is very small and intimate, but holds a good crowd. We were there to see the "Ideal" stage show (which was absolutely brilliant) and it was a great trip. Two minor issues were that it was unclear when the doors would open, leaving quite a few people like us standing outside in rain and wind, which was not Ideal (see what I did there) Also the toilet roll dispensers are utterly dreadful, where you have to try and pull it out of a very tight opening and it invariably tears close to the holder. You know the ones I'm talking about... The rosé wine is delightful...”

“I ordered on just eat and I made comments of things I didn’t want in my breakfast and as expected I were listened to. The food was absolutely amazing. Me and my other half come in here sometimes and I can say we are never disappointed. The lady and gentleman who own this place are very accommodating and so kind. “Superb! We've driven past this restaurant for years and for some bizarre reason haven't visited till last night. We're gutted we've missed out for so long! The restaurant is lovely and the staff are all really smart, professional and friendly. The food is gorgeous. I had the king prawns then spaghetti carbonara which was the best I've tasted, large portion so I've got some for lunch. My husband had the mushrooms with pate and Gorgonzola which he said were divine then lasagna. Lovely to see Guiseppe again and to chat with the waiters, definitely coming here again soon.”

“Very nice cafe. Grabbed a standard English with a decaf cappuccino Good location and tasty quality food with special mixes of Egyptian salt and sauce, handmade. Didn't try the sauce but was recommended to put the salt and spices in with the beans which was very nice Staff friendly and helpful”

“I popped into Sykes for the first time today and had a lovely breakfast with butchers sausages and bacon, perfectly cooked eggs and all the trimmings. The coffee was delish! The welcome was genuine and service friendly, as always from Mancunians. A great place to grab a quality bite to eat, recommended.”
