Overall, "Gorilla" holds a special place in my heart after last month's incredible gig. “Been here a few times with my mum for lunch and it’s always gorgeous. Quiet but nicely decorated, attentive staff and the food is so fresh. We did wait a while for our food yesterday when we went but it’s worth it - I had eggs tricolore and the eggs, mozzarella and tomato were so fresh and the pesto was home made. My mum had a breakfast sandwich and said the meat was also gorgeous and really fresh. Less than £25 for both of us with a coffee each too, so good value for sale. Highly recommend”

“What a beautiful pub!! We first discovered stockport for afternoon drinking ( before lockdown) from a trip out with our local historian and Sentinel writer Mervyn Edwards.. we fell in love with the preserved Victorian history and friendly locals...since then we travel from stoke and stay over regularly. This visit I particularly wanted to discover the Star and Garter. Stunning building...on entrance we were warmly welcomed by barman Craig.. it was fascinating to learn about the pubs history and Craig's family working within the pub trade for generations. Of course we enjoyed Robinsons Iron Maiden bitter.. a perfect pint..a creamy head all the way down the glass! A cash only pub... my husband always supports Cash is King ! A lovely traditional friendly local pub.. we'll definitely visit again.”

“This is one of the few places doing the proper pork gyros and thick, strong tzatziki like you'd find somewhere around Athens. It's a very different taste than so many places that try to serve what is greek gyros only in name. It's not particularly cheap, but it's definitely worth it. I went for the classic pork gyros, my colleagues went with various pork and chicken skewer and gyros boxes, everyone was happy.”

“My favourite Indian restaurant in the area. It does not go for an upmarket "authentic" style rather this is honest good value "Indian" food aimed at British taste. BYOB a huge bonus. Some sound-absorbing soft wall coverings would help as (see other reviews) it can get very noisy. But fortunately not for us this last visit !”

“We had take away... We had the mid week special for 2 people, 2 curries, pilau rice, naan bread and bombay potatoes. For the starter it was chicken tikka and onion bhajis If you ever remember one of the best curry places in farnworth, going back a few years, it was called gulshan takeaway on albert road, the curry sauce and other items were on a level par.... “Had a meal for two last night. Well worth the money. Chose keema madras nicest I've ever tasted and i can moan if it's not right. Second choice chicken tikķa masala beautiful a little bit too much coconut for me but was lovely. All in all the food well worth the money. Definitely ordering again x”

“I tried this Chinese takeaway for the first time last night 06/05/24 purely because of its positive reviews. I was not disappointed. This Chinese should be proud of the standard of food they are selling, also the prices are still fair. It was a refreshing change. “Nice atmosphere and good music. There’s quite a few shisha places on wimslow road but this is definitely the best one. Spent 16£ on the shisha and a drink. Shisha was smooth and flavour lasted a few hours. Would go again :)”

“Ordered through uber eats , one of the nicest pizzas I’ve ever had! Red hot when delivered and authentic Italian style. The pesto is the nicest I’ve ever had , will definitely order again.”

“The food was delicious, the preparation didn't take so long. First I got the starter which is the mozzarella sticks with sauce and the pizza came after that by around 10 min. I got the stretched dough so the dough was thin but the pizza looked bigger, Beef pizza. And lastly was the dessert, vanilla cheese cake it was too sweet and they put their 6 year anniversary small chocolate next to it. So far the service was good since I was there at 12:30 am on Monday. Not many people were around since it's working time. The music was fine not a big fan of songs and stuff.”

“They have a £15 deal full chicken 5 wings chips and 2 drinks.. really worth it tbh. I have had this a while ago and ate today. It was good value for money and the grilled chicken was fresh. I don't see what the moan is about with paying cash.. small business trying to survive without paying silly amounts in transaction fee or just eat/uber taking their 33% cuts.
