“Great food and service, friendly staff and nice atmosphere”

“Excellent, family-run Italian restaurant that has been open in Urmston for decades. The restaurant is spacious with a quirky décor and delicious food. We were there on a very busy night (Christmas Eve), but we were served by friendly and efficient staff. To start, we had garlic bread and cheese, followed by salmon in a cream and tomato sauce and chicken in a Diane sauce. Both were excellent: the salmon was cooked perfectly, with a light and tasty sauce, and the chicken was moist and flavoursome. I have been coming here for years, and it is always a great experience.”

“Excellent Italian with some unusual non standard dishes and specials plus an extensive drinks menu and wine list. We had a lovely evening and three course meal. Thought prices were reasonable too. Staff were very friendly. There's plenty of room between tables great for large parties too and a secure car park. No hesitation recommending will be back again soon.”

“First time at this cafe. I ordered a black coffee, a coke and Traditional Eggs Benedict. The cafe was busy which shows how popular it is. The food was amazing. The eggs were cooked to perfection and were nice and runny. The bacon was also perfect. Not salty at all like some bacon. I’m always weary about ordering eggs Benedict as sometimes it’s not cooked properly and the sauce is tasteless, but not here. I actually wanted to lick the plate to get all the sauce. I will definitely be back xx”

We come quite often to have lunch and I normally opt for one of their amazing pies and my other half loves their Lasagna. They were good portion sizes, plenty for us and it wasn’t a long wait. The atmosphere was lovely and relaxed. The young lady serving us was friendly, polite and also helpful when we enquired about different dishes. £44 for our meals and a drink each was good value. “I popped down to Moda for breakfast on Wednesday morning (their opening day) I had the steak and eggs with the healthy breakfast bowl and it was stunning both dishes were full of flavour and well cooked. Inside the decor is beautiful and calming with a great vibe. The staff are friendly, attentive and nothing is too much trouble. I looked over the drinks menu and so much choice for everyone's taste. I can’t wait to go again.”

“Lovely, small hotel. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. Nice pub too, Excellent breakfast. We stayed one night for the standedge tunnel canoe trip. Stayed here on Friday night and then the owner gave us a lift to marsden on sat morning to join the canoe trip. Diggle end of the tunnel is 200m from the hotel. Recommended.”
