“A spur of the moment decision on a Sunday late Sunday afternoon. A Walk in without a reservation late on Sunday afternoon, the pub was relatively busy and there was a small queue of people waiting to be seated. Whilst guest were being seated, the lady behind the bar could see that we were waiting. She stopped what she was doing, she greeted us with a cherry hello, and confirmed if we had a reservation which we haven’t. She said it was no bother had a table available And it will only take two ticks to wipe down and set up. We both went for the Sunday lunch one roast beef one roast lamb the meals came to the table within 20 minutes and I have to say one of the best Sunday lunches I’ve had in years we finished off With one cheesecake and two spoons. The staff here at the Horton were most definitely on their a game when we visited on Sunday. Polite professional and welcoming. We will most definitely be returning to the Horton Arms.”

“Went here last Friday and was very impressed. The food was gorgeous and the staff very polite. It was rammed when we left so make sure you book. We had so much lovely food to eat and despite having to take our own bottle of wine in there, it was only £24 each including tip. Will definitely go again.”

“Outstanding pub. Situated a twenty minute walk, depending on fitness, from Kearsley train station. Walk is downhill there but obviously uphill back. Easily accessable from Farnworth by bus. Child and dog friendly. Lovely country pub decor, with a main room and little quieter nooks at the front. Bar is small so there will probably be queueing. Said to be one of the top five pubs in Bolton area and I heartily agree. I had a wonderful chilly con carnie and my wife had the cheese and onion pie, she said it was the best homemade cheese and onion pie shes ever had in a pub, amazing chef & staff and we should know because weve been in quite afew. Car park and beer garden at the back. Beautiful setting”

“Had a few roasts in the old venue which were stunning Been few times at the old cock and Sundays roasts fab too - I do miss the lamb shanks on the menu but enjoy the other meats we had Have to say the cheesecakes are the best I’ve eaten absolutely gorgeous Would also like to comment the young girl running the floor ( maybe the chefs daughter ) so lovely with a gentle caring and kind approach that always tries to make your experience as positive as possible Only negative be the venue seems so cold :)”

“I have not been to the March Hare in a while due to the last few visits being very disappointing . Todays vidit has definitely changed my opion. We were greeted by the assistant manager Gav, he was pleasant and accommodating. We had not booked but he managed to squeeze us in. The waitress Georgia was very pleasant and professional. The food was lovely and service was prompt. 2 empty plates. The refurbishment was in character and creates a family friendly atmosphere. The outdoor area has had a much needed upgrade and definitely a place I will visit on a sunny day. The toilet upgrade is definitely a vast improvement . Excellent selection of drinks including a vast variety of zero alcohol. I would highly recommend it .”

“Met a friend here last Monday evening for a catch up and some food. What a lovely place and quite busy for a Monday evening. The Lady who looked after us was really nice i think her name was Sarah and she really looked after us. We asked for some recommendations as we didn’t know what to have. Sarah recommended the chicken chorizo flatbread or the fish and chips. We went for one of each and both were outstanding. i would definitely recommend. we will be coming back to the left arms very soon. thank you for looking after us x”

“This place is under relatively new ownership amd they have taken this chippy up levels. Fish was amazing, lovely crisp batter on the cod and really good peas and chips. Huge portion size too. Now my go to chippy. If youve not tried it recently get yourself there.”

“I've been to Oldham many, many times, and I've only just noticed they had a rollers. The Pecan cinnamon roll is soooo good. Seems like a nice place to eat in, and the service I received was very good.”

“I’ve been coming here since 2015 and I can say that the haircut here are second to none. There’s always a legend barber on call. If there’s a special occasion, it’s worth getting a shave/facial and haircut. Nobody does it like these guys. They’re also a great bunch of lads. They take both cash and card which makes life easy.”

“All you can Eat Thia Restaurant located in the orient food court. Just over £20 per head, plenty of seating, there's a small service charge of 5 %. Our server was Toon who was lovely, excellent attentive service. Many thanks Toon for looking after us. Food was amazing very authentic various dishes, small salad bar and a good selection of sweets with a help yourself icecream machine. There is also a fully licensed bar serving traditional Thia beer. All in all very good value for money with excellent service in this relaxed Thia restraunt. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend Thiakhun.”

“Amazing night at the bonfire and fireworks. Well organised and the fireworks were excellent. Food served was tasty especially the Tata ash. One criticism and only a small one as this is a free event, maybe some portaloos next year to increase the capacity for the weak bladdered.”
