She works with a genuine smile, is friendly to everyone, and goes out of her way to remember people’s orders. “Since my review below, management have reached out to me and have confirmed their cutlery and crockery is recyclable hence I will add another star to my review. Many thanks for response. Very interesting place for breakfast or lunch in Cheadle. This cafe is definitely a positive addition to the Cheadle community - making it feel more like some of the cafes in Didsbury. It is very clean and had a nice friendly atmosphere. The manegment adhere to the Jewish community, hence this cafe is closed on a Saturday. You will find lots of nice things on the menu and everything is well presented and clean as stated above. The reason I can't give this more than the 4 stars, is based on the disposable plates, knifes and forks and coffee / tea cups. I imagine on a good day this Cafe must go through a lot of disposable waste. Not sure if any of this is recyclable (but I have no proof) so effectively this cafe could contribute to world pollution (perhaps comments from management will put me right on this issue). It would be good to have notices saying the cutlery , crockery is all recyclable as this would get another star from me. And lastly but not leastly there is only one Vegan option on the menu. As we all know Veganism is on the rise and it is always good to have more Vegan options on the menu. On the other hand for the Jewish community it isn't an essential - but for the public it might be. In conclusion I would recommend this place as it gives a fresh look to the Cheadle community and it is clean. Worth a visit if you are in Cheadle.”

“We tried A Star pizza this evening and it was great. You can tell they only use great quality ingredients, definitely the best pizza and the only place well be going from now on. Good price as well. “Having a large choice of Indian food in Cheadle village it could be difficult to choose which restaurant you would go to. Not anymore.....The food at Veeda was spectacular serving one of the best curries we've ever eaten. The food was fresh, tasty and reasonably priced. The service was impeccable and nothing was too much. We usually would go to another local Indian restaurant but we now have a new go too.”

“Great, open and honest customer service. Our leather suite was quite badly stained and whilst the marks haven't come out, it is clean and looks a damn sight better! Very open about the fact leather stains easily and what I should expect. Worked quickly and was within the time bracket discussed. Would use again”

“One of the yummiest juicey burger. Do try swiss cheese. Juicey beef with excellent blend of sauces and mushrooms. Added pictures after eating half of it because I forgot to take. It was so yummy. Very reasonable prices. You will never find such food in this price range. Free roadside parking for 1 hr. Quickly served. Not much place to sit inside but manageable for 8-10 people. Halal food .”

“My doctors are very slow and often forget to do my prescription but this pharmacy is the best one I've been to and they are on top of chasing them up and message when my prescription is ready and are all very friendly and empathetic. No complaints from me at all. Recently moved and they said I can stay with them as my nominated. Would recommend this pharmacy”

“Great food and excellent service. Even the pickle tray went far beyond your average offering. The fish pakora was light and flavoursome. I recommend the balti paradise (pictured). Portion sizes are very good and I recommend sharing a rice portion/bread. I will definitely return next time I'm in the area.”

“I visited Costa Gatley Sunday afternoon — a clean, well-maintained store with a cosy atmosphere and a good selection of food options. However, what stood out during my visit was an interaction at the till that left me quite surprised, and not in a good way. When I ordered a medium hot drink, the young girl serving me actively discouraged the choice. She suggested I go for a smaller size, saying: “There’s not much difference in size — go for the small and save some pennies.” As someone who has run a business for over a decade, I found this quite concerning. In most places, staff are trained to upsell — encouraging customers to consider larger sizes or additional items, which is standard practice in retail and hospitality. Her approach, while possibly well-intentioned, directly goes against basic principles of sales and revenue generation. Encouraging customers to spend less, especially unprompted, may seem kind, but it’s ultimately damaging to the business. In my view, this isn’t just unprofessional — it’s a risk to the long-term health of the store. Costa may want to consider reviewing training procedures to ensure staff understand the balance between customer service and commercial awareness. Thank you”
