“My son is on the spectrum and used to have long hair as he couldn't stand to be touched on his head to have it cut, we tried a few places and he'd become really distressed and anxious, so we left it. Then when he was 5 he decided on his own that he wanted to have shorter hair so we decided to try here (altrincham branch) based on positive reviews and a recommendation from someone at my sons school. He loves it, he's been visiting here for about a year now. He has Chelsea to cut his hair and he really likes her, she's patient with him and respects his sensory boundaries, she makes him feel listened to, he loves how she uses praise led encouragement and calls him a superstar and a funny bunny. He looks forward to coming for his hair cut now and calls it time to visit his friend Chelsea! It's a bit of a journey in for us, about an hour if there's bad traffic (and traffic CAN be tricky on washway road sometimes) but we consider it to be worth it due to the positive experience had upon arrival. I can't stress enough how distressing haircuts were for him prior to finding this place and we gave up completely because it would always end in screaming, panicked, anxious sobbing. But once he had made up his own mind that he wanted to try a proper haircut - I couldn't recommend here enough as a perfect starting point to begin your child's haircutting journey/experience.”

Can be slightly addictive as you really don't know what treasures you will find from a pretty scarf to the perfect winter coat. Have purchased many beautiful items at such a bargain price that still have the original tag still on them. The stock is in extremely good condition, shop is spotless and airy and you can easily lose an hour just browsing. Staff are so friendly you can't help have a good gossip and giggle with them whilst shopping or very easily be left alone to shop in your own little bubble. Highly recommend *****”

Liz and Shannon (from the two Manchester Selfridges stores) were very attentive - they have taken the time to understand my style and made personalized recommendations that perfectly matched my taste. “The Young lady that helped me sort the trainers out for my son Friday 23rd of August 2024 was the only member of staff that seemed to be working, The shop was empty of staff except for Her, She went off like a shot and got the size I needed and made a fantastic suggestion to help make the trainers last longer. I hope this young lady gets the praise she deserves. She made the hole experience so much easier for me. I won't be going anywhere else for trainers for me or my boys.
