“Our local and we’ve been eating here on a regular basis since the restaurant opened. Everything about Ego’s is excellent. The welcoming atmosphere, delicious food (particularly the kebabs!), attention to detail, friendly staff (Tracy our waitress is so lovely). We had garlic mushrooms / small gambas, chicken kebabs and pistachio pavlova. The only comment (apart from delicious of the first two courses) is that the pavlova lacked flavour. The ice cream tasted more of vanilla than cherry, there was an abundance of cream but just one or two cherries on top. We tried it because it was new but because the other tried and tested desserts are so yummy we’ll be reverting back to them in future. Only a small point though!”

“A classic CAMRA Heritage pub. I first visited in the autumn of 1974 so almost a 50 year anniversary visit. Albrecht came with us and loved the tiled interior. I had two pints of Joe Holts bitter. Loved it. They also had a guest beer, White Rat by Ossett brewery. This is a great community pub with 3 rooms around the bar. Join the discussion...is it egg & chips or is it chips and egg? Albrecht wants a return visit asap.”

“Great place for a beer or two. Definitely will be going back we got friendly service, I could also take my dog with we which was not a problem for staff as they were ready with doggy treats which was a nice surprise”

“Without a doubt the best curry I've had in a long time. Went for the 5 courses for £15 deal and cannot fault it. The starters were delicious - I had the chicken pakoora and my partner the chicken chat puri. Both were superb. Mains were a lamb dish with chili and garlic for me, and a Maducash murg for the Mrs. Again, both were superb. We will be back to dine here again, no doubt about it. Service was second to none - we have been here multiple times now.”

“Very impressed. Visited on a Sunday and took advantage of the 'Sunday Offer' menu which is £15.95 for two courses. Considering the size and quality of the meals this really is fantastic value. All food was excellent. Special mention to the girls waiting on, who were friendly and efficient. Will definitely return.”

“Had a lunch out with oir eldely parents this lunchtime, we travelled over from Huddersfield. The service and food was very nice and the my partner highly recommends the Lees bitter. “Stopped into this pub on the way home from a weekend wedding to break up our journey. The chef and host could not do anymore for us. The food (mikes kitchen) was delicious I had a chicken roast and my husband had a homemade pie. Our daughter is a fussy eater they accommodated her perfectly. Staff were very friendly and easy to talk to, as we left they were setting up for karaoke, wish we weren't leaving.”

“Came in for a few drinks a couple of weeks ago and I would recommend this pub to anyone. All the staff were friendly, but Kerry really stuck out to me. She is a breath of fresh air, always smiling and Nothing was to much hard work for her. Such a lovely girl and a great assist to you.”

I sneezed once and a tissue appeared out of thin air. Now, the food? It was okay. But the service, oh my it was exceptional. Faith was new but great 10/10.”
