“My partner booked Ela for a surprise date night! It was ‘nice’ .. I asked for olives while ordering my drink and was told no? Thought this was odd! But Nevermind! Order was olives, Saganaki (just tasted like very burned cheese) a trio of dips with hummus, a cheese pastry thing (can’t remember the name) mixed grill, Kleftiko - Wasn’t the best? Watery and flavourless (I had had it elsewhere and thought the same so maybe it just isn’t for me?) not sure I would recommend or go back! But I do know other people who really like it!”

“Our families have used The Hinton Guest House a few times for their stays when visiting us in the area, and it has always been a fantastic choice. Most recently, my parents stayed for 7 nights in December 2024, and once again, the experience was excellent. Ann has consistently been extremely helpful and responsive, making the booking process straightforward and stress-free. Her attention to detail and warm hospitality truly set this guest house apart. The guest house is in a central position in Mobberley village, making it incredibly convenient. It’s just a couple of minutes’ walk to the Coop mini market, the local pharmacy, and a bus station with routes to Knutsford, Wilmslow, Macclesfield, and Altrincham. Additionally, it’s approximately a 10-minute walk to the local pubs, perfect for a relaxed evening out. The rooms and premises are always spotless, ensuring a comfortable and pleasant stay. The breakfast service is a highlight—the food is cooked to perfection, and the service is attentive and friendly. We’re so fortunate to have such a reliable and high-quality accommodation nearby. “Tried here for the first time today when we arrived we were greeted with open arms and seated straight away which was a shock because it was soooo busy..the food was really good with a very generous portion and really good value for money.. Drinks menu was massive and beer and cider was so cheap.. Excellent place and well worth a visit..”

“The food is absolutely fantastic ! The price is very affordable . This restaurant is run by a friendly family. Their sons help out in the restaurant with good manners. Once you arrive there , they immediately ask you what you want to eat and drink . Also , they have a large variety of food and drinks to choose from . “Good for coeliacs. We have been here twice now to get my son some dinner and they was able to provide us a kids dinner, butty, crisp, and home made cake/brownie with a drink. Good when we only live round the corner and can find something convenient for him. They really have thought about alot off people this cafe, people that are not able to talk or write are able to place pictures onto the menu to show what they want. Good community cafe.”

“A very nice pub,not too far away from Manchester Airport. Atmosphere was very good, food equally good and reasonably priced. Service was a bit slow,but it was very busy. When our meals did arrive it was well worth the wait. Your four legged friends are also welcome. I would definitely go again.”

“Been coming in the George for few weeks now after not being here for couple of years. Food menu has changed and is really good. Two meals for £12 on certain days. Can not complain one bit. Bar staff actually have a smile on their faces and make you feel welcome. Quiz nights music pool table live football all a bonus. Dog friendly”

“Long time since I visited last and my how it's grown. Continues the Weatherspoons tradition of good drinks, good eating, and great value. Had an excellent lunchtime meal with friends, and a subsequent 'lads night' of a few drinks and good company, which we thoroughly enjoyed.”

“We visit Chorley almost every month and love to eat at Hartwood Hall. Our favourite is the filet steak which is always cooked to perfection. All the staff are friendly and helpful. On our latest visit we were served by John and Pippa, always a delightful experience. This is a popular restaurant and yet there is always a parking space and it’s free. You know you can relax and enjoy the gentle atmosphere. In summer there are tables outside, a bit close to the main road for us, so we stay indoors. So are there any problems? Only two as far as I am concerned, they don’t offer blue cheese as a cheese or a sauce and pouring cream is not on the menu either. Despite this we keep coming back for the great food, try the Mac & Cheese as a great side dish, it goes with anything.”
