“I was very doubtful when I first started my high intensity therapy due to having past bad experiences. My therapist Abida has been absolutely amazing and listened to me and what I want and do not want in relation to wording of things. This was from the very start so this enabled us to begin this journey with knowing what to expect from each other. I am not going to lie and say it was plain sailing because it was far from it reliving and revealing hidden memories but with the help of Abida and her compassion and empathy I am now in a much better place and have the tools to be able to keep going in my therapeutic journey. Never once did I feel judged or patronised whilst in my sessions like before. Abida has been my absolute rock throughout this painful and traumatic experience and I am so so appreciative of the help, support and guidance that I have received. I understand not all therapists are the same but set boundaries and ground rules for you both at the beginning and please listen to your therapist they know what they are doing, and as tough as it gets please do NOT give up it's worth it in the end I promise. I have just finished my 20 session and a quote from me that I have made in relation to my experience is "You cannot heal, if you cannot feel " Thank you Abida and good luck to everyone else who is thinking of starting this journey, is in this journey good luck or who has finished this journey well done be proud of yourself because I know I am. “Excellent care at Arden Ward Stepping Hill Cannot praise the entire staff highly enough ,they are a superb compassionate caring skilled and expert team working hard for all patients. What started as a very scary experience became very rapidly a great healing process. The ward is modern and well looked after, constant cleaning,nice comfy chairs,great occupational therapy classes available each weekday, food is delivered cipus with home made soups and desserts and a choice of food daily. The nursing staff in their entirety including the night staff work extremely hard to support and encourage patients ,they're very skilled at encouraging healthy choices to assist healing. Nice touches like the 9 pm toast makes it surprisingly homely Don't be afraid if you have to stay-at-home the staff will care for you so well with dedication and enthusiasm.”

I put this down to the pharmacist named Colin, don't know his surname. What I have noticed is how friendly and helpful everyone is since this lovely chap Colin has been there. I have had a couple of occasions where I asked for his help and advice and was very impressed. I know staff change from time to time, but I would hate to see Colin move on elsewhere as it is the first time in a long time that someone has impressed me on such a professional but friendly manner. Please take stock of my comments, it is not often that I take the time to say anything, but I do where it truly merits it. Thank you”
