My daughter explained she couldn't get a doctor's appointment. The head pharmacist took photos and went across to the doctors for advice. He then came back explaining everything to my daughter. Thankyou. My daughter is extremely grateful for the time and care you took with her. He prescribed a powerful antihistamine as piriton was given at school with no luck.”

There’s a brilliant choice of groceries, fresh fruit and veg, bakery, clothing (George), homeware and much more. The prices are always competitive, and there are plenty of offers across all departments. The staff are friendly, helpful and easy to find if you need assistance. Parking is very straightforward with a large car park, and the location just off the M60 makes it easily accessible. There are also useful extra services like the pharmacy, opticians, and petrol station on site, which makes it a real one-stop shop. Overall, Asda Chadderton is a great store for value, variety, and convenience I would definitely recommend it to anyone in the Oldham/Greater Manchester area.”

As it was a blue inhaler I needed, before I even had chance to pay, he told me to take a dose of it there and then as he could see that I was struggling to breathe. Both are an absolute credit especially the pharmacist.”

Both the podiatry and district nurses teams are fabulous and have been fantastic with me whether it’s been home visits or clinic attendances since I came out of hospital in February - l won’t name individual nurses as I want to protect their privacy but be sure l know them. The receptionists are just gorgeous and forever helpful, going out of there way for patients and keeping you updated if you are awaiting PTS. You also wait very little time for your appointment and l have only been treated with kindness, respect and a smile on their faces. Just one point if you would indulge me; to the person who commented about the area being run down and the patients looking much like the area - how bloody dare you, what an absolute vile and narcissistic person you are! For the Grace of God.comes to mind. It’s my first time ever at the clinic and coming from working in an emergency department one thing l have never seen are patients being abusive and berating staff, no loud music from headphones or patients being loud on their phones - you should be ashamed of yourself with your outdated beliefs. Anyway guys, it’s a great place for your treatment here and all the staff are excellent. Apologies for the essay but I do get cross at people’s biases.”

“Honestly I love this GP. Everyone seems to complain about the receptionist but every time i’ve been in there i’ve never had an issue at all they’re all very kind and friendly and very well clued up too! There’s great doctors at this practice- however there is a very small minority of doctors maybe 1 or 2 that you would have to be very unlucky to get. Careless, dismissive and unhelpful - however once you know who to avoid cough Dr Watson cough and find a doctor you get along with and who cares which is most of them tbh, you will have a good experience. I’ve had a really tough time the last month and have had many appointments and they’ve always been so helpful and reassuring. Actually left one of my appointments with a smile just feeling so grateful for them helping me and being generally so lovely. Dr Price is the best i’ve come across she’s the best! I literally never write reviews but I was curious what other people thought and was genuinely shocked. The emergency appointment system is much better from when they used to make you log onto AskMyGP at 8am. Now you can call anytime from 8am to around 12 noon and then that’s when they will start to triage all of their appointments in order or priority for that day. Much fairer, don’t have to be first in the queue just have to have a priority issue. Even routine appointments are quite good now too, longest I waited for an appointment on a routine basis was around 14days. Good for a routine appointment. The late evening appointments eg at 19:30 are a really good idea and very helpful. Only downside is the pharmacy is closed at those times so you’d have to wait till the following morning to pick it up from the pharmacy downstairs. Overall great practice par the couple bad apples.”

“Very surprised to read some of the poor comments on this excellent service. I have had 2 kids go through this service and I have honestly never seen such consistently high levels of professionalism, compassion and empathy. I understand that when your child is sick, it is easy to get upset, scared and emotional. These are normal reactions, particularly when mental health is concerned. However my experience is of a high quality service delivered by deeply committed professionals. I’d like to mention in particular Mr K Singh, Ms J Lowndes, Dr. Knott, and all the other practitioners that supported both my kids over the years. Thanks to their support, my kids are in much better places than they would’ve been. It is true that NHS waiting times to access CAMHS are extremely long, and I agree that this aspect of the system could and should be better. However, once families are seen, the quality of care provided should not be overshadowed by wider systemic pressures that are beyond the control of frontline staff. Our experience has been one of genuine care, skill and dedication, and I remain very grateful for the support my family received.”

“Oldham Children's Hospital. Amazing!!!! I am so shocked reading the bad reviews. Children are here to be brought back to health..so what if you have to wait 4 hours in a&e or have to wait 20 minutes to be buzzed into the unit. Your priority should be your child. How can anyone complain that the adults don't get fed? This is not a hotel!! How can anyone complain that the staff are lazy when they work 14 hour shifts?(Maybe that person should get a job!!!). Oldham NHS staff we will be forever grateful for the care of our son and all the other children in Oldham that you have cared for. Luckily you are all well educated enough to not take the bad reviews personally. Keep being amazing xx”
