“Such an excellent experience at Wilmslow Hospital. I was extremely worried about a health issue which was causing me sleepless nights waiting for an NHS appointment. Rang Wilmslow and was seen by the consultant 6pm that night. Amazing service! The consultant was so friendly and put me at ease as I was getting a bit upset. After an examination I was reassured that everything was fine. But I was glad of the further scan that I chose to have to have 100% certainty and totally put my mind at rest. I came out walking on air. To have that peace of mind was priceless and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Wilmslow Hospital. All the staff were very caring, professional & friendly and the facilities are excellent.”

“Great staff. Car park D is only a few minutes walk. Parking is free. May be a queue to go in. We only waited about 8/10 minutes. Plenty of seating in the dining area.”

“What a wonderful place to be poorly in - having had a terrible experience earlier in the year at 'another hospital' in the next Borough I can't praise the Team in A+ E enough. Particularly Katie Frost in Reception, Marius, Oliver and Babatunde for their kindness and respect shown to my Brother - who had a nasty fall due to his Parkinson's - through to Dr Alasdair Marshall who again was so professional and personable. We arrived by Ambulance at 2pm and it felt like checking into a Hotel - even waiting until 10pm for the Doctor to be able to see Chris we never felt neglected or dismissed. “Really appreciate Wigan hospital! After going to 2 different hospitals knowing something was up with my 5 month old baby and her chest sucking in and being told it’s “viral”. I went to Wigan after being recommended by 2 different people and Wigan hospital saw my little girl almost instantly with a short wait and told me she has Bronchilitis. The nurse took the time to explain what it was and what to expect with it and how to help her with her symptoms- I felt listened to and the nurse stayed to listen about my concerns rather than rushing me. I will be using Wigan from now on.”

“Had issues with an IUD. Couldn’t get an appointment to be seen anywhere. Was refused by the centre it was fitted and was suffering really badly with cramps, bleeding, pain and sciatica. Teresa, really looked after me and with a lot of laughs and a few tears, we got there. Thank you Teresa, you’re an Angel. xxxx”

“I walked in at 8am and was given a same day appointment for 10am. I came back at 10am and within a very few minutes I was seen by Dr Anwar. She carried out a comprehensive examination and prescribed a course of treatment. Dr Anwar also contacted my pharmacy so that the medicine would be ready as I arrived there 10 minutes later. Within 24 hours the medicine was having a noticeably beneficial effect.”

“Honestly I love this GP. Everyone seems to complain about the receptionist but every time i’ve been in there i’ve never had an issue at all they’re all very kind and friendly and very well clued up too! There’s great doctors at this practice- however there is a very small minority of doctors maybe 1 or 2 that you would have to be very unlucky to get. Careless, dismissive and unhelpful - however once you know who to avoid cough Dr Watson cough and find a doctor you get along with and who cares which is most of them tbh, you will have a good experience. I’ve had a really tough time the last month and have had many appointments and they’ve always been so helpful and reassuring. Actually left one of my appointments with a smile just feeling so grateful for them helping me and being generally so lovely. Dr Price is the best i’ve come across she’s the best! I literally never write reviews but I was curious what other people thought and was genuinely shocked. The emergency appointment system is much better from when they used to make you log onto AskMyGP at 8am. Now you can call anytime from 8am to around 12 noon and then that’s when they will start to triage all of their appointments in order or priority for that day. Much fairer, don’t have to be first in the queue just have to have a priority issue. Even routine appointments are quite good now too, longest I waited for an appointment on a routine basis was around 14days. Good for a routine appointment. The late evening appointments eg at 19:30 are a really good idea and very helpful. Only downside is the pharmacy is closed at those times so you’d have to wait till the following morning to pick it up from the pharmacy downstairs. Overall great practice par the couple bad apples.”
