“I had this place in mind for months before deciding to visit here on a date night. We booked a table easily online (via their website) and the pictures there lived up to the real thing. The deco in this place is amazing to create the right atmosphere for any occasion.... Date night, drinks with friends at the weekend or during the week. The staff were very friendly and the food.... THE FOOD! It was delicious! And reasonably priced too!”

“Just discovered this pub and so impressed. Great friendly service from Melissa. Food was very tasty and you could tell everything was fresh. Compliments to Astra in the kitchen! Very generous portions too which delighted hubby. We went for lunch and there were tables available without booking. Very friendly atmosphere and will definitely be recommending friends and family to visit.”

“The best fish ’n’ chips in the area. PERIOD. Anybody saying the Kingfisher on Parrin Lane is better — and the other comments — listen up. Yes, they are super friendly at the Kingfisher. They also close at 8:30, not the 9 p.m. this one does. And you can’t complain that this no longer takes card payments because neither does the Kingfisher, but this at least allows bank transfer — so basically it takes card payments. Also, saying it’s expensive? Last night I got a LARGE FISH & CHIPS with a pot of GRAVY and a pot of MUSHY-PEAS (both of which are far superior to Kingfisher’s) for £11.20. I think that’s very fair. I’m posting the pics here so you can see how amazing they are — and that’s after going to Lidl and walking 10 minutes home. Hot, delicious, and not greasy. 10/10. Give them a try at least once so you KNOW for yourself. :)”

“Had a meal for two last night. Well worth the money. Chose keema madras nicest I've ever tasted and i can moan if it's not right. Second choice chicken tikķa masala beautiful a little bit too much coconut for me but was lovely. All in all the food well worth the money. Definitely ordering again x”

“My friend and I visited John Gilbert on 19th December for lunch. Service was very good (by Casey). Both our meals were very tasty and served lovely and hot. It was beautifully decorated for Christmas. A nice relaxing ambience. I would definitely recommend this pub both for food and service.”

“Walked in expecting a meal, left feeling like I had just been adopted by the staff. The waiter remembered my name, my water preference, and possibly my astrological sign. I sneezed once and a tissue appeared out of thin air. Now, the food? It was okay. But the service, oh my it was exceptional. Faith was new but great 10/10.”

“I had heard good things about this place from a friend and as I was travelling home from work my son amd I decided to swing in. We were made to feel very welcome, the staff are really lovely and the food was top notch. Needless to say we left feeling very full and happy. They have a number of good deals during the week so doesn't hurt your wallet either. We will see you soon”

“So enjoyed this our first visit and far exceeded our expectations- easy and free to park by simple registering your vehicle at the console by the bar. Spacious, well lit, beautifully set out with windows offering views of the canal basin ,its boats and nice canal walks in both directions. Friendly and very welcoming staff. Plenty of tables inside and on the terraces outside. Lovely atmosphere and ambiance and includes historic photos of canal and boating life. Dog and child/ family friendly. Usy on our mid lunchtime mid week visitGreat selection on menu and reasonable prices and such delicious food ( great coffee too) Will certainly visit again soon and likely do so regularly from hence. Thanks to all the staff for making our visit a marvellous experience . I'd highly recom end this lovely pub restaurant.”

“My daughter thrived at Woodlands, she was non verbal when she went in at 2 year old. Her speech and communication improved massively, she speaks now in full sentences, can read and count to 20; she grew to be a bright confident little girl. I'm so grateful we found Woodlands the staff are all brilliant, knowledgeable and caring, including the SENCo and the management team.”

“A really outstanding nursery. I am so delighted I chose Sylvan House. My daughter has been coming 3 days a week since she was 9 months and the development I've seen in her is fantastic. The girls in the baby room (Nicole, Chloe, Laura and Sarah) treat my daughter like their own, they are kind, affectionate, attentive and excellent at what they do. The food variety is great and she is really well fed and cared for with a detailed report at the end of the day showing food intake, sleep times, nappy changes, mood description etc. The app that the nursery use (Tapestry) is a A* and I look forward to numerous updates, photos, videos and notes about what she's up to. Communication is excellent throughout the day and at handover. Well done Sylvan you've made returning to work so much easier!”

“Ashley has walked my springer spaniel for the last 8 months whilst I’ve been away with work and he’s absolutely loved it. It’s been a real relief for me knowing he’s been so well looked after and I wouldn’t hesitate to book him in again if needed. He will really miss her and the other dogs!”

“Great gym, spacious and clean with friendly staff. Ladies only area is fantastic, plenty of machines and huge fans keeping the room cool even on a 25 degree day. Sauna, steam room, sanarium and hydro pool were all very clean and not too busy (I went at 1-3pm) everything working well/hot enough inside the rooms. I usually use Whitefield but I was in the area and was really happy I chose to go here in the end. Will definitely be back again soon.”

“Stepping Stones is a fantastic nursery! My oldest has been there two years. She has absolutely thrived there. The staff are brilliant; kind and caring. They know every child individually and work with them to build their strengths and to encourage their learning. They do loads of different activities to improve fine and gross motor skills, and imaginative and independent play. My daughter loves going and has learnt so much from being there.”

The quality of the product is first class and although been in use all of time, shows no sign of wear and because of the quality, is very easy to care for. “Best burgers around by far!!! I saw all the other reviews online and was a little worried about ordering, despite knowing this place is renowned for amazing burgers. Wow it did not disappoint! We got 2 beef and 1 chicken to share some chips and chicken strips and was all 10/10 Only thing that let it down slightly was the temperature, so next time will definitely collect it as the shop in Salford is under 5 minutes from my home. Thanks so much for amazing burgers! The picture isn’t great but good portion sizes aswell.”
