Really well thought through and executed sessions, With fantastic toys and accessories, always tailored to that weeks book. Cannot recommend these sessions and Hannah (who organises them) more highly, and we have already signed up for the next term!”

I visited this pub when it was the Tavern. I wrote a bad review amd critised whoever was running it, as it seems like a nice wee spot. The new people who have taken it over have put some love into this. Well done. I went in with low expectations and was proved utterly wrong. I cant understand how they can offer a free buffett. I would urge you to give this place a go.”

“Kalpana has been threading my eyebrows for years. I can highly recommend her. She is quick and I always leave with better shaped brows than when I walked in! Kalpana manages to fit me in even if I have not made an appointment. She tries to be as flexible as possible. If you happen to drop in without an appointment and have to wait a short while, you can pop to the shops or grab a coffee near by as she is well located for everything.”

So when I discovered The Knot on Instagram, I was comforted by their customer-first philosophy and the emphasis placed on an individual and tailored experience. My actual experience in the salon matched and exceeded my expectations! I was offered a drink on arrival and was given a beautifully presented mint tea with my favourite biscoff biscuits. I was lucky enough to have an appointment with salon owner David who made me feel comfortable right from the start and was so accommodating to my needs. He was so personable and kind, I really enjoyed our conversation, so much so I forgot I was having my hair done! The end result was nothing short of perfect and exactly what I had asked for. I feel so much more confident in myself and I am extremely grateful to David. He is an exceptional stylist and I will absolutely be returning and recommending the salon to others, including my mum who has just moved here and is looking for a new trusted hairdresser! “Robina and John are the most wonderful neighbours to have over the road from Hive Stores. They both work very hard to bring a lot more joy and creativity to the neighbourhood and are always willing to help where they can. The waiting room cafe has the best value full English around and the engine room is set to become a great creative hub. Whilst enjoying breakfast on our day off we conversed with familiar faces from the local neighbourhood who were enjoying crafts and socialising in a relaxed atmosphere. “We got married at Rylands Farmhouse in May and we couldn’t recommend it enough. From our first viewing of the venue to the morning after our wedding the service provided was second to none. The staff went above and beyond for us at every opportunity and nothing was too much to ask. Our wedding guests were blown away with the venue and the staff. The rooms were beautiful and clean and the breakfast the next day was delicious. Luis was with us from the beginning and throughout our whole wedding day and he was absolutely amazing! He made sure that everything was perfect for us and we can’t thank him enough! We can’t wait to revisit for every anniversary in future! Thank you Rylands x”
