“Fuel never disappoints me in the 5 years I've been in and out, every time I'm back in Manchester I absolutely have to visit. some food items are absolutely delicious and other merely very good (the pakoras and chips are delightful) haha the staff is always lovely and the atmosphere never fails to feel inclusive and homey. great gigs too!!”

“Had a impromptu lunch date at this cafe and it was wonderful! the atmosphere was relaxing and very welcoming. The staff are warm and helpful ,we had to a make dietary request and they accommodated it and it wasn't any bother. cafe is beautifully decorated and very comfortable, they have different types of chairs which was a life saver for my back! Absolutely loved the food , a little expensive I would say but definitely worth it , best BBQ chicken cheese toastie I've had and the salad that accompanied it was gorgeous. Just what was need on a hot day. I would definitely recommend this place !”

“Good for coeliacs. We have been here twice now to get my son some dinner and they was able to provide us a kids dinner, butty, crisp, and home made cake/brownie with a drink. Good when we only live round the corner and can find something convenient for him. They really have thought about alot off people this cafe, people that are not able to talk or write are able to place pictures onto the menu to show what they want. Good community cafe.”

“Had a wonderful experience this morning. Ruby welcomed me with a smile and suggested an addition to my order which was phenomenal. Carlos brought my full order to my table and made sure I had everything I needed. Catherine bused the dishes from my table when I was finished and ensured I was satisfied with everything. I had a lovely conversation with all three of them after I was finished and left feeling very thankful this was the coffee shop I chose while I was in town for a day. Very personable pleasant experience”

“Absolutely amazing. Took my daughter for her birthday and it did not disappoint. Free to enter but if you want food you have to book a table and they can get booked up really quickly. Wasn’t too busy when we went, staff were all fabulous, Customer service spot on and very clean. Parking is £5. Would definitely recommend.”

“I know this place as the pepper mill and am a regular user. I always go for a salad box cause of my diet and I am never disappointed because they always have a good selection of meats,fish and cheese plus other vegetarian options. The menu as a whole is excellent and the specials are great value”

“Beautiful restaurant, all decorated fir valentines. We had 3 course set meal which was delicious. We ended up taking some of the sharing platter home as we just didn't have room. Staff were very welcoming and attentive so defo 10/10. X”

“My mum and I visited the farm shop and cafe and had afternoon tea and it was absolutely gorgeous. They provided great veggie options and it was overall delicious. You could add on a glass of Prosecco or a larger for an additional cost also. The crockery was lovely and the staff were amazing, very attentive and friendly. Would highly recommend !”

“First time at this cafe. I ordered a black coffee, a coke and Traditional Eggs Benedict. The cafe was busy which shows how popular it is. The food was amazing. The eggs were cooked to perfection and were nice and runny. The bacon was also perfect. Not salty at all like some bacon. I’m always weary about ordering eggs Benedict as sometimes it’s not cooked properly and the sauce is tasteless, but not here. I actually wanted to lick the plate to get all the sauce. I will definitely be back xx”

“Went for a small pot with the lamb curry and it really good, especially for the price as the small pot was the perfect portion! Lots of flavour in there and the lamb was really tender it just fell apart, would definitely go back”

“I came here today with my dog & it was like stepping back in time to my grandmas kitchen on a Saturday morning in the nicest way . The staff was so welcoming and warm especially with me having the dog . The atmosphere was just so wholesome it really felt like I was just in my grans kitchen . The decor is very very clean & the food was absolutely the best breakfast I’ve had . But hers sausage and bacon perfect orange yoky eggs with load of yoke , thick cut toast . Everything about it was beautiful so it looks like il be driving 40 mins for a breakfast every week . I also went alone with the dog which I’ve never ate alone before and not once did I felt uncomfortable.”

“Small but packs a punch. Only a small cafe but the welcoming was lovely, service was very attentive. We went for breakfast, the menu had a great choice of healthy and the usuals. We had a bit of both. Freshest ingredients used and looks like locally sourced, where that could be achieved. The food was hot, tasty, and well priced. The atmosphere seems busy with all the plants but I get that the view outside isn't the greatest. Could look smart with different table surfaces/covers. Don't let the location put you off as this is a little gem for food and service.”

“This is a perfect example of a local cafe that provides more than just great food. It's quick to realise that the staff here offer the greatest of welcomes and offers friendship and support to the regulars but that warm welcome and traditional respect is offered to visitors alike. The food is freshly made to order and drinks are hot when they arrive at your table. Its clear it has a firm place in the hearts of the local community and the staff are fantastic. They are helpful, honest, caring and understanding of people's wellbeing and the economic situation that we are all in. Today I had fish, chips and peas with bread and butter as well as a steaming hot tea all for under £8. My only small negative was it was served on a lukewarm plate but that is the only negative I could find in this truly heartwarming cafe. It's spotless with cleaning after every customer. This is the place to be - which is kind to your purse with a heart of gold. Definitely will be back!”
