The fish is absolutely incredible — I ordered it half an hour in advance so they could prepare it fresh, and it was worth every minute. A perfect fillet, no bones, beautifully seasoned, and cooked with real love. I added the jerk sauce, and honestly, it complements the fish so well… rich, warm, and full of flavour. The staff are outstanding too — decades of experience in Jamaican cooking, and you can taste that wisdom in every bite. They treat you like family the moment you walk in. This place has become my go-to for Jamaican food in Ashton. If you haven’t tried it yet, you’re missing out. One Love. Unity in a time of division.”

“My first time at chiquito and I really enjoyed it. Great food, drinks and atmosphere and the service was amazing. We were served by Tim who was helpful and attentive and a good laugh! Made us feel welcome and like nothing was too much trouble, only in Manchester for the weekend but will definitely come again.”

“Ate here before a concert at Co-op Live (used the park and ride) really enjoyed the food. It was really fresh and incredibly tasty. The service could have been better but wasn't terrible. We were stood a while at the door waiting to be seated, then again had to wait a while to be given a menu. When we asked for more drinks and napkins the staff were helpful and friendly though.”

“Great place, great atmosphere. Always call in now when on a night out in Ashton, and it never disappoints! Great tunes, karaoke (some good and bad!), everyone's always friendly and always have a laugh when in there, cheap beers and shots what else do you need? Would highly recommend.”

“If you’ve heard the term ‘cheap as chips’ then this applies to the Chicken Station. Great food, unbelievable cheap prices and when you see uniformed staff from ‘Havana’ (which is a highly rated nearby fried Chicken takeaway shop) in the queue ordering food to eat, you know the food must be good! Since Havana opened, the menu was updated and fresh chicken dipped burgers are now served. My favourite though is the Apna style pizza…it’s delicious with generous amount of toppings at 1/4 of the price of a pizza from Pizza Hut delivery a few doors away. Overall, excellent menu and very reasonably priced :-)”

“Usually call in after work on Fridays as part of a walk around the pubs in Ashton, i like this pub good friendly atmosphere the landlandy is always polite snd welcoming never seen any trouble and never had a problem. I would recomend it .”

“Been twice recently, once for breakfast once for a carvery. Both time the food was fantastic, hot, fresh and tasty. The chef came over both times making sure everything was OK and had a chat when we had finished our meals, bar staff are lovely and welcoming too. “Fantastic Takeaway. Great food and professional service. Having recently experienced awful service from a DIFFERENT local takeaway - it made me appreciate how good Aroma are. Only one issue on numerous occasions ordering from here, and a full refund was given and fresh food cooked and sent out. Owner even delivered the food himself and came to apologise for the order going missing. The food is fab, best I've had since our favourite restaurant closed down in Stockport. Really tasty, not just packed with chilli - the flavours are great. Can't recommend enough.”

“Good value for money food, a decent selection of real ales if that is what you like (a taster offered to my partner so it was easier to choose). Always a friendly welcome from the landlady and bar staff alike. Great quiz on a Sunday night with free sandwiches and beer tokens as prizes. Ps the aforementioned "landlord " is no longer there.”

“Nice place for people of all ages to have fun, play games, and dine as there is a restaurant in there. My kids love it here, and they can never get enough of the games. You can go along with your coins or change your notes into coins to play the games.”

“Great Indian supermarket, fresh herbs, garlic, chilli ( lots of varietys) at about half the normal supermarket price. Lots and lots of dried beans , peas, lentils and other pulses , a very good range of ground spices and curry mixs in different size bags from about 250g upto 1kg A good range of jars of curry sauce / pastes . Huge bags of rice. A good range of oils A limited range of yoghurt, butter, cold drinks . Some kitchen equipment like sives, huge pans, tin openers. But the best thing is the staff , they are friendly and accommodating and can answer all sorts of questions regarding their stock , like how to cook things , what would go best with different sauces , how to prepare / store the fresh herbs and spices.”

“Always order from here and its always perfect. Foods always fresh and is perfectly cooked, never been served any raw cooked so far. Staff is friendly and welcoming, always cracking jokes and makes a nice atmosphere while waiting for my food. Definitely 5 star!!”
