We’ve eaten at many Middle Eastern restaurants and this is one the best we’ve been to. The Knafeh is excellent and ends a wonderful meal. We also loved the freshly squeezed orange juice and strawberry, mango and pineapple smoothie! If only they had Palestinian ice cream!”

“We went for our Golden Girls xmas meal so just a small group of 4 now and it was lovely. We prebooked a Monday Evening 3 weeks in advance. We have usually only gone in the day time and the place is lovely and the staff are always very nice. They do the best coffee and we wanted tp try it at night as we hear its a different experience. So we decided this year although we are a smaller group now we would go there. It was lovely with all the lights and decor. It had a very nice friendly family, feel to it. I would highly recommend. They serve Nice food and the atmosphere is very welcoming and not intimidating which is what you want. We will continue to go there in the days for the fresh and well presented brunch foods and the best coffee locally but on special occasions they are also definitely good for an evening visit.”

“Had the full English breakfast as did hubbie - quality ingredients, non greasy, cooked to perfection. Daughter had steak baguette and sil salmon with scrambled eggs. All of the food was delicious, served hot and well presented. Service good and considering the quality / portion sizes good value.”

“I moved to Didsbury with my friends and we decided to try the various options at the many restaurants. Here we found a warm welcome and a very pleasant atmosphere. The restaurant is clean, the service is smooth and fast, and the staff was truly excellent. As for the food, the fillet steak with green peppercorns was superb, the seafood risotto was excellent, and the breaded cheese. “We had a delicious lunch here. Their gyros are probably one of the best in town. The owner is friendly and happy to talk about what they serve. They use quality ingredients and you can easily tell their food tastes delicious and authentic. They have a fantastic meal deal where you can get a gyro, a drink and a cake for around a tenner. The place is nice, quiet and with some beautiful Greek decorations on the wall.”

“Fancy place! Formal. Our first time here. Shoulda dressed better. LOL. Service and food superb! Very vegan savvy down to the fish oil and shrimp paste. Only sugar for tea, no sweeteners. But the veggie sampler and mains were positively delicious and the beautifully dressed staff so attentive. We drove past it once as it is attached to the pub and you can only really see it from one direction.”

Always beautifully prepared, stone fire cooked pizzas and they have a twist on the dough balls to what looks like a square pizza and then you take a closer look and its Nutella and biscoff wrapped in dough and cooked throughout. Absolutely gorgeous. Such lovely staff.”

“If there was an option for 6 stars, this pub would get it. Came here after a walk in the area and walked in to friendly staff and a warm fire. It was a weekday so not so busy we got a table straight away. You think it can't get better. It does. The pie was amazing, mash was amazing and gravy was amazing too. Such lovely food we had to get dessert and that was, as predicted, amazing. Can't wait to come back here again and try the other food on the menu, really exceptionally good pub to come.”

“Last week we were [invited] to Sotto for "Tales of the Med" with Stir by night which involved bottomless tapas, paella, pizza and pasta Sotto is a fusion of Spanish and Italian cuisines which has resulted in a combination of homely, fresh food made with passion. Our night began with a coktail, the first of many....so the concept for this night was to bring s bottle of spirits which the @stirbynight guys would craft into genius cocktails as we feasted. I was very impressed with every drink they made with my favourite being gin based and served in a glass of powered beetroots, this resulted in a vibrant shokicng pink cocktail The food was crazy. Not just in flavour but in quantity! I have never been so full that I have had to force myself to eat mushroom and truffle ravioli before, it's a favourite of mine and I was tortured by its beautiful smell as I collapsed in a glutenous heap We were served pizza, Spanish tortilla, patatas bravas and olives before a very unique dish was served (The 4th picture) At first glance I thought this was a paella, but it was actually made of pasta cut finely and cooked with clams and parsley. It was very unusual and like nothing I've had before, personally I did not enjoy this as much as the actual paella that was served later on The chicken paella was absolutely beautiful, it was cooked in a traditional method from the region of Spain the owner Athena is from. I filled up on this a bit too much but paella is up there in the lisy of my favourite foods My favourite dish was the deep fried ravioli! Stuffed with spinach and ricotta, deep fried and topped with a tomato based sauce with Chorizo. This was incredible!! Definitely an amazing invention and a trend needing to kick off Overall we had an amazing experience, theres too much food to talk about. Big thank you to Sotto and Stir by Night for having us. “So I called here as I needed delivery and was so in the mood for a curry. Knutford doesn't really deliver and the one nice restaurant that does was so busy as closed due to refurbishment. So I thought if try here. I'm so glad I did, the guy who answered the phone was so helpful and helped me pick the best curry based upon the description I gave of what I wanted. I'm out of the catchment area so paid more for delivery and I would again because the food was so delicious and I haven't got 1 thing to complain about, and I complain about anything that's anything but perfect! “We are Americans visiting Manchester for the holidays. The Didsbury Pub was recommended to us for dinner. We had dinner at The Didsbury Pub on Christmas Eve, and it was fantastic! Steven, our server, looked after us; he did a fantastic job. The Didsbury Pub had a Festive Menu on Christmas Eve and our compliments to the Chef. The food was delicious. The hand carved roast turkey with Yorkshire pudding was awesome. So was the Marmalade Glazed Ham Hock. And the desserts. The apple & blackberry crumble was scrumptious; as was the melting chocolate fondant. The pub is beautiful. The atmosphere was great. One of the best dining experiences in all our travels. Thank you to Steven, the Chef, and all the great people at The Didsbury Pub. I highly recommend everyone visiting Manchester to stop in and enjoy The Didsbury Pub.”

“Nice atmosphere and good music. There’s quite a few shisha places on wimslow road but this is definitely the best one. Spent 16£ on the shisha and a drink. Shisha was smooth and flavour lasted a few hours. Would go again :)”

“We visited in a family group. The carvery food was basic and straightforward food. It isn't gourmet food but it was tasty, very affordable and generous. The staff were attentive and helpful. Booking is recommended as it is a popular place to eat. I would definitely go again thanks to the affordability factor!”
