“I asked Ali if he could cater for a family gathering I was having at home. I could not have been happier with the wonderful food that was made for us. Every single item was delicious. The lamb shoulder was super tender, the chicken was delicious as was the gravy made from scratch! Loved the sides. Tiramisu and rice pudding were the perfect two desserts to keep everyone happy! “I just had to write a quick review for this place. Manchester based but well worth the travel. This was my first experience of Libyan foood and if this is anything to go by, I’m moving to Libya. Lamb soup, mini shwarma, Shakshuka, these amazing keema filled potatoes. It was all great. Spicier than I expected and reasonably priced. £11.50 for everything in the pics. “Stepping into Turquoise in Cheadle is like being warmly hugged by a restaurant that knows its own character inside out. The décor isn’t trying to impress with chandeliers or glitter thankfully but instead wraps you in warmth with local artwork on the walls that feels like it’s been chosen by someone who actually likes art not someone who just Googled “restaurant paintings.” It’s inviting homely and gives you the sense that whether you’re bringing the family for a big feast or sneaking in for a romantic dinner for two you’re in the right place. Now the food. This is where Turquoise flexes its muscles. Take the full English. It’s not a plate of sadness and regret it’s a proper spread. The sausages aren’t your usual limp Richmonds. No these beauties taste like they’ve just been pinched from a farmer who still sings to his livestock. I don’t even like sausages usually but these have that magic balance meaty juicy and full of intent. And if you fancy they’ll happily swap one out for a Turkish sausage which adds a little drama to the plate like inviting a flamenco dancer to your breakfast table. Their Mediterranean and Turkish dishes carry the same ethos generous but never sloppy bold but never brash. You can tell nothing’s rushed here. It all tastes fresh like someone actually cared as they stirred the pot. The staff are relaxed happy and with that ease that says “We’d rather be here than anywhere else.” They don’t hover like suspicious pigeons nor do they vanish when you need them they’re just right. And the value. Well it’s excellent. Other places might leave you nursing the sting of buyer’s remorse but here you walk away content your wallet intact and your taste buds gently applauding. Turquoise doesn’t just feed you it reminds you that food cooked with love and pride makes everything better. And if you’re lucky the sausages might even wink at you on the way out”

Wine and drinks menu with several options, including soft and alcohol free drinks. Kind and professional personnel, capable of making you feel welcome and cared about with also suggestions and guidance in exploring the menu. The owner and his staff make the difference, as you can feel their passion, their vibes and their attention in they taking care of all customers. Highly recommended!”

“First time visit at 1730 on a December weekday. Fairly quiet on arrival but warmly welcomed and sat down at a table. The restaurant is very modern and nicely decorated for Christmas. Menu is extensive and has a good selection for both meat and vegetarian options. All drinks are non-alcoholic which wasn't a problem though the content of the Sangria cocktail did use a soft drink with a sweetener. They serve normal Coke but am unsure of other non-sweetner drinks. The food was excellent, all freshly prepared. Some additional table presentation for the giant meatball was a nice touch. Good sized portions for all courses. Taste was excellent and the Turkish baklava with the extra table presentation was divine. Service was added to the bill and well deserved. All the staff were attentive and did their jobs well. The restaurant was busier as we left with families arriving. Overall a 5* and would definitely return.”

“We were driving back to Birmingham from the north and decided to stop for something different. We chose this restaurant for its Saudi Arabian food, and it did not disappoint! We ordered kebda, lamb mandi, chicken mandi, and waraq inab. The kebda was honestly the best I’ve ever had in the UK — the sauce was unique and full of flavor. The lamb mandi was delicious, with soft, tender meat and rich taste. We didn’t get a chance to try the chicken because the portions were very generous — each dish was more than enough for one person, and we were already full! Ayoub was kind, professional, and very helpful. He even gave us two extra tiramisu boxes for my girls for free as gift — such a lovely gesture! The restaurant’s design also stood out — it offers full privacy so you can enjoy your food in peace. The Arabic majlis-style seating and traditional decor created a warm and relaxing atmosphere. We will absolutely come back to this restaurant. Total payment: £35 for everything. Hygiene: Excellent!”
