“I had such a lovely breakfast experience here. I pre ordered and booked the day before for a late morning vegetarian breakfast. The owner was very quick to respond to my social media messages and happily made adjustments to my order. Food was delicious and service was very quick. Condiments were offered and a toilet is available inside. Seating available outside during good weather. Takeaway orders are taken. The boat was warm, cosy and full of character. The owner was really friendly and asked us questions about ourselves and built up a good rapport. Will definitely return”

“Easiest way to put this is life changing. I struggled with my hair as an 18 year old loosing my natural hairline and my corners going back at such a young age. Confidence lost and wearing a cap non stop. Didn’t want a hair transplant so I asked MHR what the best solution was. They greeted me with open arms where every staff member was welcoming and so nice, especially dean where it was like seeing your mate every time you went back. I got the red light treatment which was completely safe to do. I took certain pills with no side effects and now my confidence is at an all time high. Mixed starters, salt & pepper prawns and sweet & sour chicken for mains with egg fried rice and pineapple fritters with icecream to finish. Everything was delicious! Menu highlights were the chicken and the seaweed starter. I had an espresso with my pudding too and it was the nicest coffee I’ve had in ages.”

“I had such a lovely experience. I was served by these two sweet sisters who filled my strange request of a mystery cake and drink and boy did they not underserve. The cafe was so quaint and lovely with the essence of small village cafe and was decorated with needle felted spiders for halloween. Overall it was a great experience and i recommend the victoria sponge.”

“Lovely nature reserve with well maintained hides. Nice cafe, and reasonably tidy public toilets although they are only open when the cafe is open. Ample parking, reasonably priced. Look forward to the reopening of the lower car park as enjoyed the walk up to the lake. The Bunting hide is my favourite. There is also a great upgraded kids play area.”

“Me and my daughter called in for some lunch yesterday Fri 25th April. What can I say. Fabulous service and food was delicious and generous portions. I had black pudding bon bons to start and cheese and onion pie which came with chunky chips and a side pot of beans. My daughter had halloumi fries to start and a burger as her main. We were both very full after this . So didnt get chance to try the desserts . Food was hot and freshly made. Service was brilliant excellent staff . Will definitely be calling in again and would highly recommend.”
