“well, I saw many bad reviews, but in fact it was much more better than people say. I stayed there for one night only, just to have some rest after the concert. so from my experience I can highlight: - service: the owner contacted me to solve one problem with the booked room before my check-in, then met me downstairs and lead to my room. he was quite friendly and polite. when I asked if they have any hair conditioner (shampoo and shower gel were present in bathroom), he tried his best to manage one for me. after all I didn't feel lost and ignored. - rooms: first of all it didn't smell like weeds, sex, alcohol and other things people have mentioned in other reviews. room 8, a small one, but still enough to stay for a night. fresh bedsheets without stains, tv, air conditioning, hair dryer, clean towels in sufficient amount, clean bathroom with hot and cold tap water. I work myself in housekeeping at the hotel, so I really mean it: it was absolutely acceptable. there was one thing to solve, but once I've mentioned it, the owner offered to solve this problem immediately. so honestly, I really enjoyed my staying over there. I definitely got an opportunity to take a shower, make some tea/coffee and just rest at night after the gig. - location: well yeah, it's quite far away from the city centre, but it's obvious for this price! if you want to live right next to Victoria station, you should be able to afford it. this hotel was absolutely nice for its price and using some public transport wasn't a big problem for me, just took some time. in general I find the hotel really nice for its price. maybe I was just lucky compared to other reviewers, I don't know :)”

“Just had a big chicken wrap and I was so pleased. It was the best one I had in ages. It reminded me of the crispy chicken wrap from McDonald's but way way better. The chips were good as well. My partner had a chicken kebab and that was good as well,even if he asked for no onions and they still added some. Really good. I recommend! I'll return.”

“For anyone looking for somewhere to eat that's a bit quieter than The Dockyard you'll like this and be pleasantly surprised at how it's not much more expensive. Every time I'm here the food looks and tastes great, the staff are friendly and I always feel welcome as its relaxed atmosphere is streets away from the boistrousness of nearby venues. Watch out for match day offers, happy hour and other decent offers.”

“Been ordering for years, stopped for a bit due to finances and pandemic, started to order again. Anyway, had a problem with the food once years back but that was sorted out. Other problems years ago were the previous delivery drivers who would not get out of the car and bring the food to the door, that was sorted after I told them. Different drivers now, but I collect orders, food good, friendly place, will talk to you abit if they are not that busy making food.”

“Ordered salt & pepper chicken & chips and it was beautiful. Good portion. Chicken chow mein was perfect. No faults at all. Delivery was also very quick. i ordered the same meal again and the consistency is amazing. my favourite chinese place, amazing prices and really nice food.”

“I have never visited this place in real life however I order from hair when I am wanting a takeaway. They are always so helpful and lovely over the phone. And they always speedily deliver my food to me. I really like the chow mein here as it tastes like a very standard British Chinese chow mein, and although I love the super authentic stuff, this reminds me of memories with my family and friends. The prawn toast here is also good, and isn't too greasy compared to other places.”

“Cannot understand the poor reviews. Had many meals from here and always been fine. Best selection of vegan or vegetarian Chinese dishes in the whole of Eccles and Salford. Have an easy to use website and deliver. Prefer this compared to using Uber, just eat, etc.”

“This apartment/hotel is definitely a place to stay. We came for 2 nights and absolutely loved our stay here, the staff were very welcoming and friendly the room was excellent clean and had all the facilities we needed plus the location was so close to the station. Sleeping arrangements were on point. I would like say that Jamie who I spoke to confirm our booking was awesome as it was last min thing and he upgrading our room ( with no extra cost) as we had another person tag along lol Overall shoutout to the other staff as well and we will definitely be using Staycity again and when checking not sure if we spoke to the manager but that was lovely to be greeted by the manager upon leaving. Thanks you for making our stay in Manchester a great experience.”

“Went today for late breakfast, was delicious. A bit time waiting, busy but staff was amazing and friendly. Didn't catch up any names, but all need a big pay rise working really hard in the kitchen and cleaning tables. Just a little thing to customers tidy up after self it cost you nothing and will do a difference. Thank you for cookie, my daughter love it.”

“Essentially a hostel with extra steps but this place is ideal for a cheap tidy and clean room to sleep in for the night in the centre of Manchester. The manager was helpful and courteous and the check-in/out process easier than ever. There is perhaps a lack of security and a few strange features such as no sink in the toilet but in the shower room.”

“Fantastic coach company. I have travelled many times with the Mostonian over the years and it has always been a positive experience. I recently had electric car trouble and was stuck at the services, Dave pulled in and as he was heading for the same destination, he gave us a lift there and back . A real life saver. Thanks again.”

“Breakfast in Manchester City Centre It’s crazy how eggs on toast now cost around £13–£15 in most city centre spots. I noticed Tender Cow now serves breakfast — maybe they always have, but it’s been a while since I’ve been. The place still has that cool, edgy vibe, and their breakfast selection is excellent. Great quality ingredients and reasonable value for what you get.”

“Brilliant service. Ordered over the phone to collect and was hardly even a 5 minute wait and even then I was apologised to. I was then asked how I would like my pizza and was even asked if it was cooked to my liking when finished. The food was gorgeous and no complaints. Really polite too.”
