Liz and Shannon (from the two Manchester Selfridges stores) were very attentive - they have taken the time to understand my style and made personalized recommendations that perfectly matched my taste. “Been wanting to go here since they opened, finally got a table. Heard and read great things about this place. I can see now why it's got such high praise and why it's worth waiting to get a booking. From the moment we entered the place was so inviting, the service was excellent. As for the food it was incredible, not one bad course, I opted for the extra course of pheasant, which I'm so glad I did it was one of my favourites. I've been to quite a few tasting menus and this was up there as one of my favourites. The place has a lovely homely family vibe, the chef/owner came out and chatted to us about one of the courses and we ended up chatting for a little, really nice guy. This is such an amazing addition to Urmston and deserves all the success. Get booked in and you won't be disappointed. We will be returning for the next convenient available slot. Been here a few times now and it never disappoints. The food is incredible we went on Sunday for there Sunday roast and it was amazing, every element was off the scale. I'd go for the three courses as the portions aren't huge but well balanced.”

“I generally leave getting a hair cut until I look like Rasputin`s scruffier brother, maybe 9 months or more or until it gets so hard to live with I am forced into it. The last barber looked out of his depth asked what I wanted, in a barber shop! " A haircut " I replied. " Do you want it layered and that"! cause you will have to go to a stylist, I`m not messing about with scissors. !!! I promptly left before he could mess about with anything. A happy ending to this sad tale -- I found KINGS BRITISH BARBER SHOP, a REAL barber! A great cut, this man is a professional, confident no messing about knew exactly what to do, I am delighted with the cut the polite service, and the pensioner rate £££, not the 10 I have been paying. I will go again and would recommend.”

“First trip to Oldham town centre for almost 50 years! Oldham road once had pubs on almost every corner as you headed there from Manchester City Centre, many from the long gone Oldham brewery. Madge fancied a trip on the Metro and we spotted this pub in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide. Well worth the trip for just this corner pub. A bank of ten real ales. Great vibe plus a front pavement seating area. Madge found a new Oldham brewery..We are Wolf. Bar snacks incl sausage rolls. Great visit.”

I've lived in Mossley all my life and only found out about the existence of this place recently, but I'm definitely glad I did. Went back today (my third visit) to find a new menu. Food still of a very good quality, but I preferred the breakfast sandwich that was on the old menu. The crispy potato skins were a strange addition. I'm all for not throwing away food, but they weren't something I'd try again.”

“A massive thank you to the whole team at Barwoods for the fitted wardrobes and dressing tables etc that we have recently had fitted. This is the second time we’ve had wardrobes fitted with Barwood’s and the quality and attention to details hasn’t changed at all. Our eldest has already hung his medals up on the custom made board and arranged his trophy's on the shelf above his desk and even our 4 year old was excited to have new wardrobes! I absolutely love all the bedrooms. Genuinely, we’re absolutely delighted with them and wish to pass on our thanks to David & Jean, Josh, Nathan, Jonathan and of course Julie who designed it all.”

“I called in off chance to see if they could clean my rings. Tamsin served me, she was extremely welcoming with a very professional, friendly manner. I waited for my rings to be cleaned and 10 minutes later they came back perfectly polished and sparkling. I was very pleased with the excellent service and I highly recommend it.”

“Bought a super king ottoman bed frame and mattress from them last Thursday and it was delivered the following Friday. Can’t argue with those timescales! The bed is fantastic and I genuinely can’t believe the quality for the price I’ve paid. I’ve been in store a few times and every time they’ve been really friendly and helpful. Even if you’re after something they don’t have, ask them because they’ll do their best to help source it for you! Lucky to have a shop like this so close to us. 10/10 would definitely recommend!”
