“Wayne is friendly and very professional. My newly revamped pond is lovely with very happy fish and frogs. I'm so thankful as he wouldn't normally have come this far north to Morecambe from Manchester. If you want him and you do want him, bribe him with a comfy bed and homemade dinners. You will have to drag him in though as he's a perfectionist and workaholic. Excuse the net, it's an unfortunate necessity for the heron and the fox.”

“Mayfield Park is a unique little gem in Manchester!! It’s not very big, but it offers lovely seating areas and is great for a relaxing walk. Especially beautiful around sunset when the lighting in the park comes on and adds a cozy vibe. There are quite a lot of security cameras around, which might bother some. Other than that it’s Manchester’s most beautiful park!!!”

“Homeshow event was great, at some points it was really busy and hard to see stalls but there was a lot to look at, cafe with coffee and tea, vendors were so helpful and friendly.”

“Aqua Babies: A Weekly Dose of Joy and Confidence Building. Aqua Babies Timperley has become the absolute highlight of our week, and I can't recommend it highly enough. From the moment we stepped into the pool, we were met with a truly warm and welcoming team. Their genuine enthusiasm and gentle approach immediately put both my son and myself at ease. Our instructor is fantastic, demonstrating a real passion for what they do. They create a nurturing environment where little ones can explore the water at their own pace. What's truly wonderful to witness is my son's growing confidence. Each week, he's becoming more comfortable and adventurous in the water, and it's all thanks to the patient and encouraging guidance he receives. Seeing him progress from tentative splashes to happy, independent movements is an absolute joy. The classes are thoughtfully structured and always include fun songs and games. It's clear that the team has a deep understanding of child development, and they tailor the activities to suit each child's individual needs. Beyond the excellent instruction, it's the friendly and supportive atmosphere that truly sets Aqua Babies apart. The team remembers each child's name, celebrates their achievements, and makes every session feel like a special occasion. It's a pleasure to attend, not just for my son's development, but also for the sense of community and connection we've found. If you're looking for a baby swimming class that combines expert instruction with a genuinely warm and welcoming environment, Aqua Babies Timperley is the perfect choice. “Country park in Royton with toilets, picnic areas, playground and cafe (only open weekends which is a shame) There's a largish car park but also parking on the approach road (if there's space).Lots of routes that are colour coded. Some are quite steep but if you have the strength to push a pram/wheelchair uphill the trails are wide and in good condition - mainly tarmac or hardcore. There are plenty of narrower trails off these for the more adventurous.”

“Spent an afternoon with a good friend here. The weather was gorgeous which just added to a marvellous day all round. We started with a breakfast in the stable cafe, and a cake to take away. The house itself is breathtaking. The solar is probably up there with the best rooms I've ever visited in a historic house setting. The guide outside the room was delightfully chatty, friendly and informative. Made us feel so welcome. It was great to see some of the conservation set up that they have on the go. We finished with a brisk walk around the grounds to finish the day.”

“A pretty little gardens, great in all seasons, especially autumn when all the leaves change colour. In spring the flowers are beautiful and vibrant. Good place for a short walk with the dog, although dogs are kept on leads which is good for nervous dogs or puppies.”

“Ammore Pizza in Manchester is one of the best pizza places around. I go there often because the staff is friendly, the customer service is excellent, and the pizza tastes authentically Italian. If you’re hankering for the real deal, this place is a must-try.”

“Brilliant park, so much to offer. Crazy golf, tennis courts, bowling green, children's play area, nice gardens, train ride, toilet facility and shop. Lots of benches around to sit. Great for dogs, nice stroll or run.”

“Absolutely love Strinesdale foot paths and 2 large Reservoir's that allow fishing. It also has free parking and is that vast of a space you can walk round it and not bump in to anyone. Strinesdale also has a few picnic areas and amazing views out to the Pennines. There are 3 different routes you can take for that casual stroll or if you are looking to explore of the beat and track you can end up right in the hills and come out at a little farm house. All in all this is one of my favourite places to walk my dog and would recommend it to anyone.”

“Please ignore the low reviews because they are simply not true. I've had many curries but Mister Ali's hits the spot! Me and my friends spend the evening dining here and the staff were amazing, the food was fabulous and always has been. I came here many years ago and the service and commitment to the food has not changed. Keep doing what you are doing, ignore the haters and thankyou so much!”

“Andrew and John ( 2 lovely guys) have done a fantastic job replacing my fence. I was impressed by the speedy response. I rang Monton fencing on Friday afternoon, got a quote on Monday and the work was carried on Thursday. The work has been carried out to a very high standard at a very reasonable price.”

It’s clear the kitchen takes great pride in the quality of their ingredients and cooking. Beyond the food, the atmosphere was delightful. There was a lively, warm buzz amongst the other diners, creating a very welcoming and comfortable environment that made our evening truly enjoyable. What really made the night memorable was the exceptional service provided by the entire team. All the staff members we interacted with were incredibly nice, polite, and attentive. In particular, I must give a special mention to Adam, who was truly great. Adam was not only very friendly and professional, but he went above and beyond to make our visit special. When he learned it was my mother's birthday, he kindly and thoughtfully brought out a slice of cake for her. This gesture of genuine care and attention made her day and demonstrated a level of service that is rarely seen. The combination of great food, wonderful atmosphere, and exemplary service ensures that we will definitely be returning to The Rising Moon Pub again very soon. We had a lovely evening, and I highly recommend this establishment to anyone looking for a superb dining experience. “A lovely meal here. This is authentic Chinese food from a variety of regions including Beijing, Sichuan, Hunan and Guangdong (Canton), rather than higher-cost versions of takeaway food. Mao's braised pork was tender and balanced. The pork pancake was filled with plenty of juicy pork. The fried rice was fragrant and beautifully fried. Excellent sland friendly service. Also, the restaurant was decorated so beautifully.”

“A quiet little place to chill and relax. Just over the canal from Canal Street. It's the home of the Tree of Life and the Beacon of Hope memorials dedicated to those who have lost to their lives to AIDS. It's also the home of the Alan Turing memorial. This is a lovely place to visit during the day but, as I've been told, it can be a little bit different at night as there is very little lighting.”

“A really spiritual experience to visit in all weathers dont give up on the journey up the mountain once you reach the trig point keep wandering you wont be disappointed theres also a cheeky infinity pool if your feeling brave take a towel and embrace the cold water therapy.”
