βBest Takeaway of the Town, Chilli Masala Really good tapas, a really nice mix of classic southern and modern fare. The dishes are cooked and served immediately so everything is piping hot and each has a secret sauce that the dishes are smothered in. Green peppers are one that I'm still craving today. Same with falafel. Fish was incredible something everyone should try.β
βThe staff are really nice, helpful and polite. I can most everything I need in this shop and whiz round very quickly. Some self checkouts would be good maybe for people just popping in for a few bits.β

βGood selection of plant-based dishes (4/5 Green Stars) Camile Thai was started by Brody Sweeney, who had previously founded OβBrienβs Irish Sandwich bars. Apparently there are 45 branches of Camile Thai around Ireland, the UK, and even the US. A lot of business comes from delivery and take away orders β this branch had many order pick-ups but we were the only diners eating in. Apparently the Oranmore (Galway) branch conducted a trial of food delivery by drone to save on delivery costs and carbon footprint. Three things are immediately eye-catching upon looking at the menu: 1. Compostable packaging for take-out or delivery food 2. Each dish is graded for carbon footprint 3. Plenty of vegan and vegetarian options There are some inconsistencies with some of the carbon footprint grades on the printed menu versus the online version that need to be fixed. For example, edamame received a D grade on the printed menu and an A on the online version. But in general these grades are helpful. As a general rule, the vegan / vegetarian dishes are graded A, while dishes containing chicken usually get a B, duck or prawn dishes are graded C and beef dishes are graded E. A more accurate version of this would be A for veggie, D for chicken, E for duck and prawn and F for beef β especially if other environmental factors such as land and water use were also taken into account. I found that even if dishes are listed with a meat component, they can probably make a vegetarian or vegan version. I was interested to try the Singapore Noodles and they were able to make it with vegan chicken instead of real chicken. We both enjoyed our dishes and Iβll definitely plan to return to try more. Staff members were friendly and the restaurant is very clean. Iβm giving Camile 4.5 out of 5 Green Stars for social and environmental impact, for these reasons: β’ Many vegan and vegetarian options. Adopting a plant-based diet is the top thing you can do to mitigate climate change and deforestation, besides avoiding animal cruelty and the negative impact of the meat industry on society. β’ The idea of grading each dish for carbon footprint is a very nice idea, helping customers to bear the planet in mind when ordering. β’ Itβs also an interesting experiment to give people a choice β you can have the same dish with different proteins (tofu or vegan chicken, chicken, duck, shrimp or beef) with an increasingly large carbon footprint. But wouldnβt it be even better to not offer beef at all? β’ Compostable containers for food ordered for delivery or to take away is also a big plus. β’ Camile has also launched a trial (in collaboration with Vytal Ireland) of reusable packaging for food ordered from the Pearse St. (Dublin) branch β containers can be returned to the branch within two weeks. β’ Beer is available in bottles β itβs a pity they donβt do draft beer (less packaging) but I guess thereβs not enough demand for it. β’ Camile collaborated with Open Hive to increase the Irish Black Honeybee population. β’ Restaurant ops have recipes and admin policies that reduce food waste to 1% in Camile kitchens. Food waste is responsible for a large chunk of our global CO2 emissions.β

βGreat place for a decent meal. Breakfast, lunch or dinner. Very reasonably priced for some huge portion sizes.. Friendly staff.β
βWe'd booked for 6.30 on Saturday and we're initially confused as the ground floor is a large and not particularly lovely bar. The stairs to the first floor restaurant were discovered and things got much better from thereon. The tables are well spaced, the ambience is pleasant and sufficiently lit, (I hate dark restaurants), the service was swift and friendly, but the star of the show, as it should be, was the food. My wife had the battered cod with chips and all the trimmings in very generous proportions. Delicious. I had one of my favourite dishes, beef cheek with mash and root veg. It was astonishingly good, probably the best I have eaten. The slow cooked cheek had more flavour than fillet steak and a texture that exactly hit the spot that makes this dish so unctuous. It was a huge portion and I savoured every mouthful. As an astonishing surprise we found that The Mariner restaurant was doing a buy one get one free promotion. This has to be our best ever value restaurant meal, but more than that was the quality of the food. Next time we're over in Co. Down we will definitely revisit this unbelievably good place.β
βBoyds are number 1 for arts and crafts, but are also well stocked with a little bit of everything else from tools to electrical, to gardening kit and plants, to toys, books and glassware as well as pet supplies. One of the longest serving stores in Newry, they usually always have what you need.β

βWould recommend 100% We were staying at Greenhill YMCA in Newcastle with a youth group. They gave us advice on how many pizzas for 35 people and we ordered 16 12inch pizzas. Great value for money. They were mixed, pepperoni and cheese. The pizzas were delivered to us, on time and hot. The kids and adults enjoyed every bite. Excellent service. Owner and staff go above and beyond 5 ββ
βBest sandwich I've had in a long time. Bread was nice and fresh with filling right up to the crust. Soup was a lovely homemade creamy chicken & veg and a HUGE bowl. Couldn't believe how cheap it was for the quality given and the easy access location. Loved it! Look forward to my next visit and more friendly banter with the staffβ
