“Stayed in the village, so this was the local pub. Was surprised that the food was Indian (with a few basic English dishes). We had poppadom for starters (basket of poppadoms with 2 dips and salad) and 1/2 tandoori chicken with chips and salad. Lovely food and very nice staff.”

“Over 2 years ago, we got married at this location. The day was perfect. The staff were helpful throughout the planning process and the day itself went without issue. 2 years later, we came back, now with our son, for our 2 year Anniversary. Again, the staff were extremely professional, the food was worth more than what they charged, and, to help us celebrate, some items were made free for us. I cannot say just how amazing every aspect of the Woodland Manor Hotel is and the staff are amazing”

Will come again to try the single cask whisky, even though relatively young, it was unique and will have complex flavours. Very efficient serving and payment. Live sport and a selection of objects that captured my curiosity.”

“Clean Halal restaurant. The staff were cautious and friendly. We arrived close to closing time, and we were still welcomed and not rushed. The food was fantastic in taste, and the portion sizes were generous. Food prices are reasonable. One thing that would have been nice would be to have high chairs for toddlers to use. It was quite difficult and messy as toddler struggled on the regular chairs. Overall, I would recommend this place for nice tasting, good price halal dining.”

“Awesome pub with friendly staff. The land-lady laid on a buffet for my wife's birthday party which we held in the lounge area. We had the whole lounge to ourselves and the hire was free (takings at the bar). Highly recommend. They have great bands on there as well. Food is fab too.”

I had the fish and chips and the burger and they were both very good sized portions. I will definitely be returning to this pub. The interior was very well maintained. “Great lunch. Arrived just as they opened and orderes small plates. Food came fast and hot. Excellent fish cake and calamari. Chorizo was not at all spicy with pleasing flavour. Good BBQ wings and honey whipped feta was great. No pic of the fiash because we ate it before I thought to take a photo. Great lunch sitting outside in the September sunshine”

“We have a new favourite! Last night was our first meal from here because our long-standing regular is closed on a Monday, and I'm so glad we took a chance. So many Chinese takeaways are bland, or monotone in the flavours, but not here. My house special curry was bursting with flavour and a welcome, but not overpowering, spicy kick. My wife said her beef chow mein, shredded beef and sweet and sour chicken were incredibly tasty, again with a welcome variety of flavour, and a lovely sour edge to the sweet and sour, rather than just sickly sweet. Added to that, the portions were very generous (I got two helpings from mine, which is unusual), and it wasn't just bulked out - there was plenty of meat. The final unexpected bonus was not only free prawn crackers, but also free spring rolls - again, more than what we usually get. Overall we were both blown away, and both agreed that we will be using Welcome Precious as our new regular from now on. Well done!”

“We really loved the food, possibly the best mex in Beds. The food was freshly cooked in front of you. Just a shame that the place is very small - perhaps that's why the food was so good with generous portions. We came again for my 67th birthday. The service and food was fantastic. Wife and I really enjoyed the meal! The owner and the staff were really friendly and made some great recommendations. Lovely authentic food!”
