“I'm not usually one to bother leaving reviews on food places (unless theyre bad) but I've just had one of the best takeaway experiences ever. I ordered two pots of pasta this evening, and once I'd submitted the order I noticed a mistake. I called up and was surprised to find that this is actually Zizzi, and my issue was dealt with by a very pleasant and helpful man. He fixed my order and my food was delivered no more than 20 minutes later. I usually order the bolognaise and I'm happy with it but tonight I went for the spicy chicken and it was absolutely delicious with some cheese and chilli flakes on top. This is quite easily the best take away meal I've had in months, mostly due to the food but also down to the amazing customer service. Thank you for restoring my faith in food deliveries.”

“Wow again fantastic service. Washing machine broke down, great discussion and advice on options including guarantees and programs on the machines, then it was delivered for free that very evening, only a couple of hours later. Amazing. and the machine is great!!”

“Amazing food! I ordered a mixed grill and chicken tikka with pilau rice. I asked what was in the mixed grill and was told they have sheesh. I informed the person on the phone I wasn’t a fan of sheesh so they offered and gave me extra chicken instead of the sheesh. How kind I really appreciate it. The best mixed grill I’ve had. Absolutely amazing and I’ll definitely be ordering from them again! They also delivered very quickly and food was a 10/10. Thank you and we’ll be back.”

What we got: 3 x Oreo cheesecake 3 x Biscoff cheesecake 3 x white chocolate and strawberry cream tart 3 x Ferrero Rocher Mousse domes Marks out of 10 for: Appearance: 10/10 Taste: 10/10 Price: 10/10 Everything on the menu here is handmade and tastes absolutely amazing! “What a wonderful experience. How silly we've lived in Bedford for 20+ years and we've never been on the river! The John Bunyan Afternoon Tea trip to Mercure Hotel was a lovely family outing. Beautiful scenery, fantastic volunteers who were all really knowledgeable of the history of the river and surrounding Bedford. We learnt so many new things about the town. The tea was delicious and the Mercure catered brilliantly for our Coeliac daughter with a gluten free tea. In fact she had more to eat than us...unheard of! We're already thinking about planning another trip in the opposite direction to Great Barford and The Anchor Pub.”

“Came here tonight for the first time with my partner. Initially, the queue was long and we figured we’d be there for a good while. However, they were adequately staffed meaning the queue moved quickly. we ordered large chips, two jumbo sausage and curry sauce. It was superb! Chips were fresh and arguably some of the best chippy chips I’ve had. Sausage was also good. Curry sauce had a nice sweetness to it but I think the pot could have been a bit bigger. Will be returning again, thank you :).”

“If you are looking for a Sunday lunch with a choice of meat or veg options, giant yorkshires, crispy roast potatoes, plenty of gravy cauliflower cheese and a great selection of veg….this is your place. I have visited corner 5 many times for lunch and dinner, today on a Sunday and I am devastated I have missed out on so many Sundays now I’ve been once. It was delicious. And we were treated to some very skilled wake boarders doing tricks too.”

“This is a Lovely village pub run by very friendly people. Alas their Google presence is out of date so they don't food (hence no stars) except for Friday evenings but when we're dropped in for lunch they very kindly gave us some roast potatoes and sausages to snack on. I had a really nice pint of ale too. Thanks!”

“Just found out about them recently. Hard enough to find decent sushi place in Bedford. BF Sushi gave me a glimpse of hope. One of the best sushi place in Bedford in my opinion. Freshly prepared, well seasoned sushi rice and reasonably priced. Will definitely be going again.”

“Booked our annual Christmas group night out of 15 friends after a previous outing a couple of years ago which was excellent, and found this years outing was even better .We all ordered food from the Christmas menu the food was fantastic especially the Pork belly main course and Toffe Apple Choux dessert. The waiters were very attentive ,friendly and efficient. A great night out and very reasonable prices , will definitely return again .”
