“Absolute mad house, kids loved it. If you like sipping a pint, and be between a scarlet macaw and a parakeet having a sound battle, this is the place to go. Great place for a very generous meal, and for the kids to be entertained. My only, only recommendation is they get some bigger tables in. I was surprised for such a spacious place they didn't have many tables suitable for parties or 5+, and there is so much room for it.”

“Came here for breakfast with the Mrs and my daughter, it was fantastic the food was 10/10 and the portion size was great, the big breakfast was big and very well cooked with good fresh ingredients, the sausages were large and the bacon and eggs cooked exceptionally well. I would highly recommend getting a breakfast here if you are looking for good quality and tasty food. 10/10”

“Had to pop into gorleston briefly. Needed some lunch, literally saw this lil place on the off chance and so glad we did! Guy (im assuming the owner) serving was welcoming and friendly. Great vibes (music and cleanliness) we had the pulled pork burritos, bloody delicious! Price point is spot on, in fact we were discussing maybe a lil under priced (but not our business to judge) Fresh and hot, perfect portion size. We definitely need one of these in lowestoft please! However, we will be back for sure! 5 stars, definitely recommend!”

“I just love this place. Last time I visited was over 6 years ago. This week I have been twice already as I am staying locally. I can say out of all the carverys I have tried,this is the best!! The staff are friendly and very helpful.The resturant is very big and clean,you can also sit at the front outside.Their is a childrens play area outside. Castle carvery now has a children's soft play area located inside at a cost of only £3.50 per child.On both occasions the meat has been very tender & fresh. There is a wide range of vegetables,aswell as meat,cauliflower cheese,Stuffing,big yorkshires,roast potatoes ,mash aswell as vegetarian options . Every item on the carvery deck just tastes divine. The gravy is lush! One of my children has allergies,the member of staff i spoke to about this was very knowledgeable about what my son could have and double checked with the chef. There were 4 of us eating ,we all enjoyed our food so much and the bonus was the kids could run around in the soft play too! Plenty of parking available.”

I love my spicy chicken tikka vindaloo very much.. my partner has madras... so beautiful.. never greasy... staff are great.. every week we av der food... “Had a friend visiting the area who couldn't wait to go to the beach so, after a stroll along the promenade we called into The Fig. They confirmed we could take our little dog in (to the rooftop area). The sun was shining and it was teatime so it was the perfect setting & view. Ordering was easy via the QR code on the table. Seats were comfy and not to crammed in. The food was amazing when it came out. Good portion size a fantastic flavours. I would have also sampled the cocktails...but I was driving! Next time I'll take the hubby and he can drive lol. Service was excellent too. Very friendly staff.”

“Shared a lovely meal for two just my husband & I before the mad rush of the next 2 weeks. Our server Sharon was attentive but not pushy, our meal came quickly, we both went for the turkey roast which was absolutely delicious (our plates were full) everything was nice & hot. We went for 2 courses, my brownie & ice cream was yummy, hubby went for Bakewell tart & custard - it’s a man thing! Would thoroughly recommend booking a table.”

“Well, what an unexpected treat this was! We booked online, but needed to phone in to double check which menu would be served, the young lady was incredibly kind and knowledgeable suggesting we tweak our time as we preferred a late breakfast to an early lunch. On arrival I was acknowledged at the bar, and guided to our table. The attention to detail on service was spot on, both Jack and Ben with their warm, cheery, nothing is a problem dispositions, ensured everything about our orders for 3 was exactly as expected. Piping hot, perfect poached egg, all breakfast items were delicious, two veggies and one meaty. We will definitely return the next time we visit Norwich, thank you Ben and Jack for going above and beyond to ensure we had an incredible experience in your beautifully refurbished pub. PS loos we’re spotless, immaculately clean!”

“A great little Trespass just outside the shopping centre. Very friendly and helpful staff even though it was a wet Saturday afternoon and the shop was very busy. Good selection of coats at a very good price. For a change a shop had all the right sizes to try on too. Some great offers in the shop for various accessories too so all good for me.”
