“My partner and I went in to buy some suits i needed a suit for my graduation, and my partner need a versatile suit for attending my graduation and a wedding next year. Oli helped us out and was absolutely fantastic. He suggested different styles, matching with different waistcoats or suggesting that we wear with or without the waistcoat, and seemed to genuinely care about our experience and us getting the most out of it. Sometimes in shops you can feel hounded to buy something, but we didnt feel hounded at all, we felt genuinely cared about and in good hands. Will definitely go to this suit direct again if I need a suit.”

“Nice shop, very well mannered owner who was able to help me with a hat purchase. I would love to one day change my entire wardrobe to the styles of gentlemen wear that this shop offers because I love the way I look when dressed smart but it is a bit of an oddity in today's world and even the job I do requires casual clothing but one day I will be able to retire and dress like a true gentleman in the way my father used to do. Walking cane and pocket watch will be proudly used daily. I honestly cannot wait.”

I love the layout of the Nottingham store, it's airy and open plan. As someone who has visited the Pacific Northwest a number of times, the images on the walls provide you with inspiration. The guy said they hadn't got any in stock but helpfully pulled one of the rail in the same style so I could see the fit and sizing and ordered it to my house free shipping from the online screen they have in store. “Bought a beautiful brown leather belt in the shop in Belper yesterday, fantastic quality and well made, will last a lifetime. So good to support a local independent business selling quality stylish clothes and accessories made in GB. The boots I really liked are made just up the road by Britain's last traditional work boot maker, and my belt was made just outside London. A really pleasant shopping experience, really great friendly service, chatted for ages! Lovely shop, well worth calling in when in Belper.”

“Went to all the suit shops in Nottingham and this is by far the best one, all the others are out of date and will charge you a fortune for a knock off brand you've never heard of in TK Maxx. Stephen the manager in there was so helpful and knowledgeable. The quality of the 3 piece I bought is incredible. For the quality and style with the assistance in the shop, it's such good value.”

“Stay and play at alf&Co on a Tuesday has honestly been the highlight of our week on maternity leave. Kirby and her team are the nicest friendliest people and the whole atmosphere is so lovely. The variety of toys is excellent and they always make sure there are toys for each age group. Having a hot drink included too is such a nice touch. Could not recommend it more. And being on mapperley top there are loads of places to go for lunch after with the other mums and dads. The shop too is gorgeous and we've bought some lovely toys and clothes that are such great quality. If you want a group to go to with baby/toddlers this one is fab. Don't be nervous about going on your own, you'll make friends. It's so relaxed and everyone is lovely. They also have lots of extras like a photographer some weeks, sleep experts another and a pottery lady for some lovely baby footprint Xmas presents. I'm so sad to be going back to work and will really miss this. Iris has LOVED it! Thank you Kirby and Rebecca, you'll never know how much this session helps mums get out of the house and get some much needed interaction. Thank you! Xxx”

“Very lovely experience. Getting to the store was a wee bit difficult because of lack of advertising, but I'd wager that was done clearly on purpose. No major signage or billboards are really necessary for this type of service. The product is great, and the two Davids who took my measurements were professionals through and through. I even loved the fact that they provided us with a refreshment during the fitting. Great store, great staff, and great product all around.”
