“I just want to say thank you to a member of staff working at the Ebrington street branch. I have a disorder that means I suffer with pain and I normally don’t manage to go shopping myself. My husband just got out of hospital and I needed to get some stuff for the children’s packed lunches, so had no choice but to go. I was as always in my own little world and just trying to make it quick and manage my anxiety of being out. Then this lovely member of staff came down the isle with an empty basket and said “let me give you this and I will take the full basket to the till” I was so grateful and a little taken back. She said she noticed I was struggling and in pain and felt she needed to ask if she could help. That young lady had no idea of the extent she helped, it was more than carrying my basket, it helped me to see that being out of the house isn’t as scary when you meet people like that. “I have visited Aldi supermarkets in Spain, Germany, and UK. All of them look exactly the same, which is ok, consistency is good, and all of them offer more or less the same products, regional variants aside. To be fair, this one in Plymouth is one of the cleanest and better organised I've seen in the UK.”

“Full of family history with my great uncle Mitchelmore on the war memorial my Great Grandfather ran a coach company to Exeter station from Modbury as well as having a drapers shop where the Co-op is now. I used to visit in my teens and went to the Red Devon pub that is no longer open. A beautiful place to live and work from.”
