“Robert & Sue are incredibly helpful with all of our guests, looking after them from check-in to check-out and always so accommodating. Lovely apartments in Maidenehad and would 100% reccommend. Even during the pandemic, our guest was taking care of completely, food shopping delivered and a social distancing check-in procedure. THANK YOU!”

“Well here goes with an updated review. I have now had the pleasure of staying here for a few years now and hope to stay a few years more. Still the great hotel I told you about in my 1st review. The staff are lovely and the rooms spotless. Always warm and always cozy. Light and airy breakfast room with most things on the menu. Thanks guys.”

“Have stayed a few times. Always very friendly service and clean room. great value for money. Decided to have a bit of a works get together. 12 of us had great food. (it is very good). Happy friendly service. Would recommend the place and somewhere to stay so you can have a drink and enjoy yourselves.”

“Can strongly recommend Old Beams! The staff are wonderful: very accommodating and professional. The facilities are very clean, the dogs are happy and well looked after. Our dog had a quite precise medication schedule and the staff were knowledgeable and ready to deal with this—we came back to a very happy and healthy dog. “we stayed at the Crazy fox boutique on the evening of the 20th april 2024, the same day we got married close by at Rackleys. The booking process was straight forward and once booked i called the hotel explaining we would be arriving late and was that an issue and would we be able to drop our bag off on the morning of the wedding, Tina was amazing on the phone and helped me sort out the little details, and on the day of i got a text from Emma letting me know she was there and was on hand to show me how to use the keypad and helped me with bringing in the bags to the room. I dont think i have ever had such amazing attentive service from a hotel before ever. The morning after the wedding emma brought us up breakfast to our room along with fresh brewed coffee, again it was these amazing little touches which made the stay for us, i have not mentioned how lovely and clean, spacious and comfy the bed was, it was like sleeping on a pillow. The hotels location was perfect as we went for a walk after breakfast and enjoyed a lovely view from the bridge close to the hotel on our first morning as a married couple. In conclusion the hotel is lovely the service is outstanding and breakfast was incredible, you will not regret booking this fabulous little boutique hotel”

“We came for afternoon tea today with my girlfriends. This was my second visit for afternoon tea. The food is delicious! The sandwiches are filled well and very tasty, The scones were fluffy and light. The desserts delectable. This really is a hidden gem for afternoon tea. I often have afternoon tea in London and this is definitely at that standard or better! Fabulous service. The staff are polite, helpful and really make this a 5 star experience. We will definitely be visiting more, especially as I now know that I can bring my dog in the Bar area and have afternoon tea or a meal there. Full of praise for a well executed 5 star service.”

“Our Heidi loves going to see her friends at Bertie & Friends. Everytime i take her, she can't wait to get to the door, tail wagging and bum wiggling. Emma and Martin are amazing - so kind, caring and loving with her and all the dogs. Their place is a home from home, a lovely set up for pooches. I can't recommend enough! “Stayed in Christmas cottage for one night as we had dinner at the Fat Duck. Perfect location for that as it’s just at the rear of the Hinds Head. Really cute cottage. Small but perfect for couples. Denise was so kind and friendly - what a welcome! Cottage has everything you need, including a well stocked fridge for breakfast the next day. IMO reasonably priced for what you get and what you’re about to fork out for dinner!”

“We had our 2024 wedding reception at the barn at The Olde Bell and it was a wonderful experience. Leah was very helpful in helping us figure out the timings, how to structure the day and the usual order of events since we were a bit clueless. On the day, Vincent was magnificent, so calm and collected, professional but warm. All the staff we had on our day was great, the food was fantastic (multiple guests said they really enjoyed it) and we had a great time. We also used the recommended suppliers for flowers and music and were very happy with both! As a clueless couple whose main requirement was for things to be nice and for everyone to have a good time (I know, not much to work with!), we received a great service and were very happy with how things turned out.”
