“It's one of my favourites and go-to pubs for a quiet drinking day. Very reasonable prices, very quiet and friendly atmosphere. Pool table, plenty of seating, some tasty food options available, occasionally get disco lights and live music. It also has a beautiful garden and smoking area in the back. It feels very heartwarming and is a totally different experience to most other pubs.”

“I have traveled extensively throughout the UK, and I can easily state that I had THE BEST steak and ale pie here! It was delicious and had little bits of potato in it as well. The pie crust was perfect! Highly recommended stopping here for the pies!”

“The food is absolutely gorgeous, there was barely anyone in (early on a weekday) so we got to choose our table and had quick service. The food was all home cooked really good, not standard pub food at all. Pie was full of meat, gravy was great. The pasta was full of chicken and chorizo, we couldn't finish it all!”

“First Breakfast visit , WOW , what a fantastic welcome from every single member of staff on duty 1/11/25 , we came into contact with including chef , it was very obvious it’s a lovely place to work , everyone presented as enjoying work , very friendly, informative , helpful and engaging , the restaurant was lovely and clean , what a lovely cooked breakfast, I had 2 today , the continental choice was lovely and the choice of drinks available puts any other chain to shame . We will definitely be back and we are letting all our friends know we loved our visit. I do hope we won’t be disappointed in future visits, but somehow I don’t think so , well done everyone”

“Once again I was parked up close to the Kilton. Sadly I entered on a day there was a wake,, but still made welcome. Good selection of lagers and spirits. While they have John Smith's smooth and one other similar beer they don't have any real ale. So Gin it was. They don't serve food but were ok with me ordering a takeaway.”

“I mean what can I say? Absolutely fantastic breakfast butty *bacon, sausage, egg beans* for a bit cheaper than most other cafes'. Clean and no grease dripping off it. Site is clandestine, staff are fantastic. Could very easily see myself grabbing something every morning.”

“Had a party for my 1 year old didn't book the whole wacky as there was so little of us but the kids loved it we had an amazing time everything ran smoothly i recommend having your little ones party here no matter the age even though he was 1 it felt like a party like no other x thanks Georgiana, Emma, jodie, Claire and memphis for help decorating the cake and making this special day memorable for our boy and us as parents”

“Visit regularly, great variety of produce. Fruit and vegetables very fresh and always seem to last a while. Good meat counter with a big variety. Cafe is very nice too. Good for a little trip out.”

“Sunday dinner is genuinely a bargain at a tenner for what is one of the best I’ve eaten in years, considering it’s just £10.00 for a large and £5.00 for a small!”

“stayed for 2 nights, everything you need in the hotel and a good price too. Shared bathrooms were always clean and nicely done up. Free parking out back. Heating could be turned up or down in my room (no set temp which was really nice). Cosy bed. Great bar downstairs with lovely staff, which serves food until 8pm. Doesn't do breakfast (only google maps seems to think this, their website and other booking sites don't say they do either) but lots of affordable cafes in Worksop within walking distance that do a proper fry up. Can't fault it, and much friendlier place to stay than a premier inn etc.”

“We visited the pub for late brunch as we had appointments at the pharmacy nearby, we were welcomed into the pub by Zack, Natalie which we were told upon arrival find a table and you can either order at the bar or on the app, we chose app order which were very easy to navigate, one downfall of the app is you can't customise your food order to take things off and replace for something else, However the food came and were hot and tasty, Must give Luke the Chef 10/10 for putting pepper on the mushrooms!! They were absolutely scrumptious, I were with my parents have been in the hospitality trade over 40 years, we appreciate good customer service, prompt service, we were not waiting long for drinks or food and this were our first time in this pub and we really did enjoy it and we will be back to try main menu at some point as well.”

“Beautiful meal on Friday evening. I had the herb crusted cod, the freshest fish I've ever had (and I love my fish) and it was a lovely thick piece cooked to perfection. It was served with asparagus and a variety of fresh vegetables also cooked expertly. The butter sauce was divine! My husband had the lamb curry which had a lot of good sized chunks of lamb in it and again was perfect. Not our first visit, had many tasty meals here, it just gets better and better. Highly, highly recommend this exquisite charming country pub with impressive decor and food to match!”
