“I've been coming here for a while now with my mother the food is always good I either get a panini or a burger but always with some coleslaw on the side. Which is homemade the waitresses are always polite and friendly and laugh at my lame jokes. This cafe also opens really early in the mornings and you can order lunch if you don't want breakfast the cook knows what he's doing it takes a good meal to make a 260 pound man happy I will continue to come here for some decent and stomach filling food.”

“Small cosy little place, great in winter. They do a fantastic breakfast and the tea/coffee is also superb. The atmosphere is obviously very good with it being such a small place and despite them always being busy, the service is very quick! Would highly recommend Taste if you're at a loose end in Retford.”

“Wow .just had a bacon sarny in this place whilst I waited for my car in the garage next door . The sandwich was the size of a small country I kid you not and for the price I paid I was amazed the coffee was lovely and hot what's not to like . The staff are really friendly and my waiting time was about 1 min . The menu is massive and the prices are too cheap in my opinion . Loved it !”

“Day or night, Edi's is fantastic, great food, atmosphere the owner is very friendly. Often comes over for a chat and always makes us feel welcome. I can't recommend this place enough. I really hope this business does well as they have put a lot of money and energy into the business.”

“Wow! Not enough stars to rate this restaurant. To say they blew us away with customer service is an understatement. 3 of us booked in for breakfast & we mentioned it was a pre wedding breakfast for the Groom, Grooms father & Best man. We arrived to find the table set up specially for us with a boxed flower arrangement & card written to the groom from all the staff. It was a tear jerker. Irrespective of the fact only 3 of us had booked to attend, the management had taken the decision to go the extra mile knowing we couldn’t possibly eat or drink enough to pay for the flowers or maybe they’d just break even. We talked about how amazingly kind they’d been all day. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. I nearly forgot to tell you just how great the food was too! The best breakfast I’ve had for a few years also. They have freshly squeezed orange juice which was a treat you don’t often find. Super sausages & black pudding! The groom is vegan & Rondo caters as part of their standard offer a full vegan menu choice. Quite genuinely, it’s brilliant with awesome staff! Thank you all.”

On top of this the customer service is brilliant, the young waiter ( kieran)who served us today is a real asset to this establishment and at such a young age could certainly teach many other in his industry what a good job looks like :)”

“I absolutely adore this place ! I’ve just started fishing again after 40 years and it’s ace ! Facilities have been upgraded the site looks smart . I live an hour away but when I have any time off this is my go to place for fishing , don’t need all the gear , just a rod or pole bit of bait and you catch all day long and the scenery is lovely . Well worth a visit ! Thanks”

“I came in this afternoon and was greeted by the lovely ladies working. I ordered a vanilla latte and a jacket potato. The latte was one of the best coffees I have had in a long time, and the jacket potato was done perfectly, on top of this the service was so quick! The café was nice and clean and it has really nice outdoor seating which looks out on to the market square. I will definitely be returning, and I definitely recommend this to anyone who wants to sit down to have a nice coffee or some lunch!!”

“I visited costa today to buy a coffee for my train. There was a long queue but I was served in time to board my train. I was hugely impressed by the calmness and efficiency of the single barista working there (I think she was called Natasha). She served everyone with a smile on her face and seemed completely unaffected by the busyness and the time pressure! She also recommended the lunch deal as a way to save money. Thanks so much!”

“Excellent, hidden gem. Good service, pleasant environment, very tasty food. Linen tablecloths and napkins and individual white proper handtowels. What a pleasure. Probably one of the best quiches I've ever had. Couple of suggestions; a little more variety in the salad and parasols for outside seating area.”

“Nice quiet wee motorway stop off, when we were there it was quiet, but still well staffed. Coffee was surprisingly Starbucks and the tea was good too and there is a pretty standard range of sandwiches, snacks and cakes. Toilets are fresh, well maintained and clean, there is a small but functional carpark and a drive through window.”

“Lots of very nice craft items and a wonderful selection of food items including local flour, local honey and local made jams and chutneys. Staff very helpful and very kind. Also has a great variety of local guides and information about the local area and what you can visit in and around Retford.”
