“Gulistan is our favourite Indian takeaway, predominantly down to their consistency. Their chicken tikka masala naga is an absolute belter and it never fluctuates each time. Portion sizes are great and the staff are always friendly, never had an issue or a bad meal after several years of custom. Shall be ordering again tonight.”

“We went there recently for an axe throwing experience. This included angels, tomahawks and throwing axes. The instructor (Richard?) was very friendly, clear and patient. Safety rules explained and followed. It was a cracking experience and I would go again. The place is quite small and on a farm / equestrian centre. There is also shooting and archery available. Sat Nav sends you to a farm up the road so look at the map carefully. Free tea and coffee available, which is a nice touch. Excellent gift from a good friend.”

“What a wonderful stay! Di and Dave made us feel so welcome :) It was more like visiting long time not seen family rather than typical B&B hosts. We stayed with our 2 children in the studio which was very clean, and comfortable. Great location for sightseeing and exploring Peak District, while beautiful view from their garden makes your morning coffee extra special! We would love to came back and can't recommend this place enough!”

“A Christmas Carol! Wonderful magical production that stuck close to the story and was one of the most entertaining events we have ever seen on a stage Brilliantly acted with a local twist (Sheffield carols excellent but thought the ghost of Christmas past was slightly weird - the ghost of Christmas present was amazing!) The set and sound and lighting effects were amazing. Our only criticism was of tiny Tim - he should have been made up to look sickly, used a wooden crutch and coughed at the table (he would probably have had TB in Dickensian times). It would be unfair to single out players for individual praise - what a wonderful start to Christmas!”

“A beautiful estate, an excellent wedding venue. Signage off the main road could be better, particularly in the dark. There's a long single track which adds to the suspense and revel - impressive on a night. Appointments are a must if viewing.”

Delicious, interesting food, well cooked and presented. Really friendly service. Highly recommended. Was quiet for a Friday so you might be lucky short notice, really they should be full every night.”

“Visited today for a festive afternoon tea and it was just fabulous. The service was fantastic, as always, and the extra little touches (Christmas crackers and a beautifully set table) made it feel so special. We had the gluten free option and the food was absolutely delicious. It’s a pleasure to visit somewhere that caters for dietary requirements and is inclusive. “We stayed one very windy night and had dinner with six friends. The room was polished and shiny, such a comfortable bed and lovely bathroom. Dinner as always (we have eaten here before) was a real treat. I had the steak pie, I think my best ever!! You can’t go wrong with a stay here.”

“We arrived here after a long walk in the heat. The lady behind the bar was friendly, accommodating and made us feel very welcome. The views were beautiful and shandy refreshing. “Nice trip out, forgot it was school holidays, but not too busy. Only few minutes down the road from us. Animals seem happy and well cared for. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Ample parking. Nice little gem, well worth a visit”

“It's a beautiful house and gardens. The lake area is beautiful and well kept, there's ducks and geese too. The gardens are well maintained and there's plenty of seats and trestle tables dotted around. It's a great place to chill out on a sunny day. There's a great cafe with seating inside and outside, it has a large menu which includes vegan and gluten free dishes and has a large selection of hot & cold drinks. The gardens are fairly small but there are plenty of public rights of way and the countryside is beautiful. It's around 1 mile walk from Sprotbrough and only 2.5 mile walk from Doncaster.”
