“We recently ate here for a family reunion and the staff were incredibly kind to everyone but especially our son who uses a wheelchair and has profound disabilities. They called him Don Lucas (he was sat at the head of the table). They were so thoughtful in ensuring we were all looked after and we spent almost 4 hours enjoying the delicious food and atmosphere. Thank you to all the staff for making us feel so welcome and being disability inclusive. We will be returning for our next family get together.”

“Me and my partner came here to see what it was like since we both have interests in geeky/nerdy stuff. Honestly it's such a nice place to spend a few hours. We were welcomed without it being in your face and the staff are just really friendly and are more than willing to help you get started in anything you might have had some interest in, but been too intimidated to start. We had a coffee and played some of the stacks of games they have available for you to play, and then bought my first pack of Magic The Gathering cards! it was so fun and we'll definitely be coming back!”

The whole experience was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. ​The restaurant itself is incredibly cosy, and the entire team was just amazing and attentive. A huge shoutout to Joss, who was absolutely brilliant! Due to a last-minute business trip to Sheffield, we needed a table, and he went above and beyond to fit us in and was so helpful in explaining the menu. ​The food quality truly blew me away. Everything tasted superb, proving the dedication to using fantastic quality local produce. “It's a clean little sarnie shop. Pop in and order, freshly prepared, then and there. The best bacon, egg, and tomato butty I've ever had. A stack of perfectly cooked bacon and a runny egg. They really take care preparing, neat and tidy and delicious.”

“Stayed here camping twice so far and looking forward to my third next weekend for Soul & Ska. Last weekend was Steel City cruisers. Lovely clean site especially the toilets. All staff friendly and polite. Sarah was our favourite. Always there to help and answer any questions we had. Helped us book a table for our next weekend. Great bar and prices for both food and drink especially when happy hour is on lol. As I said before, looking forward to Soul & Ska. Can’t recommend Hooton Lodge enough.”
