“A delightful campsite adjacent to the Sherwood Pines visitor centre in a tranquil location. Friendly staff at reception, who pass you on to a team member on the site who help you decide on a suitable pitch based on your preference. There's a central block with toilets, showers, laundry and dog wash facilities. There's also a children's play area and a bike maintenance and wash facility so you can clean your bike after a ride. The campsite is surrounded by woodland with hiking trails and mountain bike trails, there's also plenty of wildlife in the area. The prices are a bit on the high side but it's a very well maintained site in a great location so worth paying that bit extra for. Would come back again, particularly in the off season when it's very peaceful.”

So i dismantled it all (8 screws), found this store online and visited them taking all the bits with me. “My daughter and I had afternoon tea here yesterday. It was really nice. The food was fresh. Good selection of items for afternoon tea. Beautiful Teashop and lovely staff. The owner was very nice and accommodating. They also do theme nights, which I'm sure we shall be back to join. The menu was great for other occasions. Breakfasts and lunches, or a drink and a snack. The shop itself was decorated lovely, with indoor and outdoor seating. Dogs were also welcome. Set in lovely surroundings in a park. We will definitely go again.”

“My fiancée and I had the most wonderful time in Sherwood. The cabin was beautiful and the location was simply stunning. There were plenty of activities available, but more than enough gorgeous scenery to just go for a leisurely walk. The staff were incredible, friendly and helpful, and nothing was too much trouble. Forest Ranger John was an absolute legend with his delightful quiz on Wednesday and a lovely, impromptu walk in the forest on Tuesday. I would absolutely come again and highly recommend Forest holidays in Sherwood to anyone looking for a peaceful, picturesque break in the forest.”

“A beautiful little hidden gem with friendly staff. The play area caters more for those 12 and under was clean and in good condition. The toilets were almost immaculate which is a rare thing for any place with lots of families visiting. The train ride although short has plenty of things to look out for as it winds it way across the Feilds. If you are near it is definitely worth a visit. I went with two teenagers and still managed to spend a good couple of hours there. As for food check the website for the menu and prices as it may not to everyone's taste BUT if you like a good traditional English breakfast you will NOT be disappointed. We will definitely be planning a return visit.”

“Vee sorted out a heel injury that had stopped me running and had developed into something that was restricting my ability to walk. As expected, the injury took a while to resolve but every session (coupled with the accompanying exercise programme) resulted in improvement. It’s no exaggeration to say that I thought my running days were over but I’m back out there again, completely free of discomfort. The only thing I’d do differently if I get another injury is to book in sooner.”
