“We had such a great day here! tons of exciting slides as well as a fun obstacle course. What really made it special was the paddle boarding! Right next to the water park where you can rent paddle boards. It was the perfect way to wind down after all the water park excitement. The water was calm, the scenery was peaceful, and it was such a fun activity for both beginners and more experienced paddlers. Only “downside” is if you don’t have a car it’s a 40 minute walk from the nearest bus stop but if you enjoy walking it should be no problem! It’s rare to find a place that combines both high-energy water park fun with something more relaxing like paddle boarding — we loved both and would definitely come back. Highly recommended for families, couples, or groups of friends looking for a full day of water activities!”

“A fantastic campsite right in the middle of sherwood forest. Very clean facilities, well kept and organised. A nice park for kids to use and plenty of space for them to run aroundand play. Can bike or walk straight into the woods. Just under 10 minute drive to the major oak. Would definitely recommend.”

“The country park is beautiful. Sadly the cafe is unbelievably banal and lacking in healthy & tasty food, plus closes early whilst the park is still active which is a massive missed opportunity, but maybe one day we can have both! All the nature on and around the water is really wonderful.”

“Visited with our 2 children (5 and 8) and did 1 night Eat, Sleep and Play which was excellent value. We had a great couple of days and the Pixie Pod was absolutely brilliant. The rides were perfect for the children’s ages. Husband and eldest child paid extra for Archery in the morning which they really enjoyed. The instructor was really friendly and would definitely recommend taking part in this if you can. Would have liked a little longer for check out as it was a bit of a rush to have breakfast, checkout and get to the archery for 9am but but we managed it. (Check out was 10 but would have crossed over with the archery so had to do it early) Would definitely return whilst the children are still young!”

“I come down 4-6 time a year for work and have always stayed at the Lodge (approx 8yrs). This is a small family run business. They always go the extra mile and make me feel so welcome. Food portions are great and cooked to perfection. There is a small car park and one Electric hook up. They have a nice little garden area where you can sit outside on a good day. Definitely recommend it.”

Wonderful friendly group who are happy to include new comers With six terrains where they play in league games and competitions are very good. Long may it last. “Absolutely fantastic greeting from the staff on arrival - Kevin was amazing and talked us through some nice walks in the area to . Room wasn't quite ready as we were a little early so he managed to find us one that was ready - rooms very clean tidy and comfortable would recommend anyone coming to the area to stay here .”

“Lovely hot and fresh pizza, nice and thin and not too much cheese. Toppings were all so tasty too, and maybe a weird compliment but the distribution was perfect (I hate when it’s all piled onto one part of the pizza). I built my own with sausage, meatballs, turkey bacon, red onion, sun dried tomato and hot honey - thank me later for this combo!! Oreo milkshake is great too. Might be my new favourite takeaway pizza!”

“I arrived 15mins early for my shopping. Expecting to be turned away only to be greeted by 2 lovely gents. I believe there names were harry and Steve. They were extremely helpful considering I am in a wheelchair. They packed my shopping while also having a laugh with me. Top lads. Can’t thank them enough.”

“Wanna say thank you the guy and the security man who was on tonight 9/09/2025 around 19.15pm let me take a product out of store to repair mums mobility scooter due to a puncture the product was £8 off the security was gonna pay the rest for me but I offered to give them my car keys for my return to pay for the product and the guy handed my car keys back thank you”

“recovered from the M1 30 miles away from home driver was brilliant got car in back pf truck in no time got me to a garage near home. nice bloke...even put heating on in cab ( i was freezing after sitting in broken down car for 2.5 hours!)and he was warm and had to take his coat off!”

“I came in here about 5 months ago and the owners are a such nice people. Nothing is too much. I don’t see them as shop owners more as friends. There are local shops and then this place. Amazing place and great selection of food and cold beers at reasonable prices!”

“Vee sorted out a heel injury that had stopped me running and had developed into something that was restricting my ability to walk. As expected, the injury took a while to resolve but every session (coupled with the accompanying exercise programme) resulted in improvement. It’s no exaggeration to say that I thought my running days were over but I’m back out there again, completely free of discomfort. The only thing I’d do differently if I get another injury is to book in sooner.”
