“Such lovely food. All cooked fresh. I had bubble and squeak with bacon and poached eggs. The bacon was thick and cooked to perfection. The poached eggs were delicious and just runny enough. Very tasty. Will definitely visit again.”

“This place truly is a gem tucked away in an industrial park! We came across this by accident browsing Google maps, and it’s clearly loved by locals as it had a fairly constant flow of people. We had some pour over coffee, and a couple of sweets that which were both delicious. The coffee wasn’t quite to our taste this time so I think I would have appreciated a bit more forwardness in the staff on the kinds of coffee beans they offer at the counter when we ordered, but they gave good advice when we asked about it upon leaving so I’d be happy to come back and try something else. The decor was very eclectic and cozy, though the sound of grinding coffee beans echoes in the warehouse style space - not necessarily a good place for reading or working but definitely a nice trip out. If you’re a coffee fiend and know your stuff you’ll definitely appreciate this place! It’s also dog and kid friendly.”

“An excellent independent coffee shop with healthy food options combined with treats as well, all round better than the processed food found in chain stores. You can buy their coffee beans along with other healthier produce. Outdoor seating set within the courtyards peaceful surroundings. Lots of open parking spaces. A go-to coffee stop if your travelling through Hursley ☕️”

“A cute and cosy little coffee shop, with a good selection of vegan cakes and dairy free milks available. Wooden board games available to play at tables and very chilled vibes. I tried the popular coffee cake and it did not disappoint! Takeout options available and it's dog friendly too.”

“Wonderfully decorated! Lovely plants and decor to feel extra cosy. Went for a Sunday morning coffee with a friend and we were warmly welcomed and had the sofa to ourselves. A good selection of goodies! Nice quiet atmosphere with some background music and a couple lit candles. They have outdoor seating too!”

“This café is more than just a place for coffee. It s a genuinely safe and welcoming space. The atmosphere is calm, the drinks are lovely, and the staff truly care about their customers. “Sonder is hands down my favourite coffee shop in Salisbury. The team are always so friendly and genuinely happy to see you, it feels like catching up with old friends every time I visit. They’re a brilliant mix of creatives too, with poets, singers and artists all bringing something a bit magical to the place. The atmosphere is cosy, relaxed and totally different to anywhere else in the city. It’s the kind of place where you instantly feel at home, and there’s always something interesting going on or someone lovely to chat to. They serve delicious cakes from local small businesses (which I absolutely love to support - Dunk'd Cookies are my fave right now!), and they’re very dog friendly, my two pups are always have a pupuccino and biscuit, which they adore, especially after a wander round the busy Charter Market on a Saturday. We always find a comfy spot to sit, relax and take it all in. I’ve also used their co-working space, which is such a great low-cost way to work from the city centre, looking out at the Cathedral entrance and watching the world go by. If you’re in Salisbury, do pop into Sonder, it’s an independent gem and well worth supporting!”

“So I’ve been coming to this cafe with my partner for some time now, this place has such a nice atmosphere and the service is always amazing! Everyone in that place is always so helpful and nice! Me and my partner recently had a meal there and it was so good! I had the pancakes they were light and fluffy and just so delicious. My partner had the smashed avocado and poached eggs, her being a massive fan of this said the eggs were perfectly poached and the avocado tasted fresh and looked amazing. The whole thing was plated with care and very delicately! I’ve got to say I think they might have a new chef in because even tho the food was good before hand I feel like the food and how the food is presented has improved quite a bit! But all round if you’re looking for a place to chill, chat and relax with some good food I highly recommend this cafe!”

“Absolutely love going to mermaids for bacon baguettes with brie and cranberry we have been going twice a week for a few years now and feel it’s a bit much when spending over £20 each visit to be charged £1 for one mug of extra hot water maybe that is something you could consider four people that are purchasing food and drinks with you”

“This is a beautiful Nigerian restaurant with authentic Nigerian dishes. The menus is curated with unique dishes and undiluted flavours. It is also a café by day with cakes and toasties. The prices are competitive and reasonable for what they deliver. They have cocktails and other drinks available. The vibe here is amazing and the staff are so nice. There is a talented afrobeats dj who plays on certain evenings too. Make paying the bill a little quicker please :)”

“Happy Bean Coffee Bar is such a cute and comfy spot! They make some of the best coffee I’ve had around Southampton, and it’s with vegan milk! The vibe is perfect for just hanging out or getting a bit of work done. And honestly, you can’t go wrong with avocado toast—it was so good! If you’re nearby and need a chill place to grab a great coffee, definitely swing by.”

“I popped into this coffee shop while I was walking around the city as a tourist. Very friendly service and one of the best flat white coffees I have had for a long time. It’s very easy to taste the difference between an impersonal coffee made in a large chain store and one made with real care in a local business. The shop is a very relaxing place to sit and the staff are all very friendly. If I lived in Southampton, I can see this would be my go to cafe.”

“Had the Gingerbread Latte as part of their Christmas menu and it was delicious. The two little gingerbread men were an amazing touch! The staff were incredibly friendly and my drink was made quickly. Would recommend for a nice quiet spot to sit and relax”
