“The food was really good other than the Calamari which was not in rings and more like squid bites It was tiny for £9.25! Our waitress Aim was an absolute delight, she couldn’t do more for us. She made extra effort to engage with my 3 boys showing interest in the game they were playing and the food they were ordering and making our birthday celebrations that little more special. I can’t believe she has only been working there a few days, she’s worth every penny you pay her, hold on to her she’s fabulous. Thanks so much Aim”

“November 2025. Late lunchtime visit, not as busy as expected. Only about five tables being used, during our visit. Service was very good, as experienced on previous visits. Staff very helpful and polite. Food very good, a very enjoyable visit. Bank Holiday lunchtime visit. Not very busy on arrival, but the restaurant very quickly filled up.. Food ordered on their app, service was very quick . Starters and main courses were all very good. Staff were also very good”

“Hursley Cafe is definitely the café we’ve visited the most since moving to Southampton. With its great value for money, we find ourselves coming here almost every Sunday. This is a record of our visit two weeks ago, after our eldest daughter and her friend finished rugby practice in Eastleigh. We ordered Egg Royale, Lasagne, a Kids’ Meal, Mocha, and Hot Chocolate. The food quality was excellent, and the portions were generous. This café gets extremely busy on Sunday mornings, so we highly recommend calling ahead to make a reservation to avoid long waiting times.”

“Authentic and amazing Thai food at very reasonable prices! We enjoyed a variety of dishes, and each one had clearly been made with such care and attention to every ingredient. Tender prawn tempura, flavourful Thai spicy sausage, chicken in a delicious garlic and pepper sauce and last but not least the incredible weeping tiger- the beef was perfectly cooked and the sauce was amazing. What a delight to find such a charming restaurant in our area! Thank you for a delicious meal and great service we will be back.”

“After a lovely two days in Bournemouth, we were heading back to the midlands on a 4.5 hour journey, but needed to eat so we could survive the loooong journey home. I read the reviews and we popped in for our dinner. So happy we did. It was just what we needed to give us the kick start. The food was delicious, fresh, tasty, great portions and very reasonable prices. My hubby and eldest had the buffet for £19:99 and me and my youngest had paneer tikka, chicken Peshawari. The chef was so kind he made us some special tea with spices to help us with our long journey. Staff were professional, helpful and attentive. I would highly recommend this lovely place. “Had a takeaway delivered last night to Fair Oak whilst visiting my mother. Have been ordering from these folks for probably over 10 years. Without doubt he best takeaway I've ever eaten from. Food gas always been to quality and far better than any other. I've lived in Complain, Wickham, Waterlooville as well as Chichester and nothing has ever been as good. Outstanding best takeaway curry ever.”

“One of the better Chinese take outs in the area. Always busy on a weekend which is a good guide to the quality of the food. We opt to collect as delivery times are often quite long due to demand. Take out however is typically 30 minutes from order. We have found their predictions are normally spot on. The rice tastes nice and fresh, both egg fried and boiled. The chicken is always nice and soft with a decent amount of chicken in each dish. Similar with the beef. The duck in orange sauce is also a good shout.”

“This restaurant is now under new ownership with beautiful new décor, and it was honestly the best Chinese food I’ve ever had! The chef personally came out, and when we asked if he could prepare a dish that wasn’t even on the menu, he was more than happy to do so. The waitress was absolutely brilliant—friendly, attentive, and welcoming. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for amazing food and great service!”
