“Friendly and knowledgeable staff, charming and cosy atmosphere, quality espresso and food. Can't wait to visit again!”
“Lovely cafe with great food and friendly people running it. Nice little area to sit outside and pretend you’re in Paris. Can take the dog which is great. Charcuterie board is so good and onion soup was amazing - better than I could have expected! There were gluten free options on the menu and in the fresh cakes too.”
“I absolutely loved this place I took my niece and nephew there and they usually do not eat a lot but this time they finished their food and even asked for more!! This is my new favourite place!!”
“Fabulous food, all freshly cooked, amazing oatcakes, breakfasts, omelettes and much more. Very reasonably priced, the only place I know where you can set a coffee under £2. Brilliant”
“Cafe is very dog friendly. You can take 2 dogs per person inside and staff make them very welcome. Yes you order at the till but everything is then brought to your table. The hot drinks loyalty card is a bonus, collect 6 stamps and the next hot drink is free.”
“Banging cheese burger and chips to die for. Won't go anywhere else for food now everything homemade and tastes amazing. Also love these guys they make me laugh and feel welcome best thing about Fenton!”
“Absolutely beautiful amazing place, amazing staff and delicious food! Recent incident handled amazingly by staff and can’t believe the slating they are getting for protecting there small business. Everything is hard enough with cost at the moment so things like this make me feel really disheartened.”
“Lovely cosy coffee shop with friendly staff and a great selection of homemade vegan cakes and seasonal drinks. Feels really homey and comfortable - some folks on laptops, some chatting and others enjoying a quiet moment. Well located for the train station too.”
“Came in on Saturday 20th. Lauren was working, she was super friendly to everyone she served and met all requirements. Really nice to see, especially in a busy environment ☺️”
“i absolutely love this place it is my all time favourite. the food is delicious, the waiters and waitresses are lovely and polite and the building itself is gorgeous. i went there for my birthday and they were so sweet gave me desert on the house and sang happy birthday. it’s in a lovely little village and everywhere is so tranquil- especially later at night. i consistently go back to alberto’s because how lovely a place it is. this is my favourite restaurant i’ve ever been to and highly recommend as the food is delicious and affordable”

“Attended Capello’s for a meal out with a large group of work colleagues. The staff were really friendly and helpful and got all our food out quickly and correctly. All the meals were lovely and everyone really enjoyed the meal. There was great options for the gluten free and vegetarian members of the group. The atmosphere is lovely! Will definitely be returning.”
“Egg Benedict of Wedgwood Tea Room went well above average: yolks are just right, prefect muffins and exceptional cider braised ham hock topping… without mentioning the price/quality ratio and served in their very own tablewear that everyone comes for, it’s a must try for the visit.”
“Came here for lunch and had delicious food. I had a regular size (which was a decent size) pizza Arriba, which was delicious! The dough is fantastic, I like a doughy pizza and this one delivered on that. The toppings were really generous, too. I did ask to change the chorizo to nduja, which was kindly done for me, although after ordering and paying, I was then told there were no peppers available. Not a biggie, but I think it's fair to be told things like that before paying. My wife went for the Mancini pasta, which she said was also delicious. Especially the mushrooms in the dish. I tried one and agreed that the flavours were incredible. They taken on the flavours of the chorizo and were just so moreish! She said it was only warm, though, and could have done with being a bit hotter. The drinks we ordered they didn't have in stock, and I got the impression they maybe don't stock what's on the menu as they had other beers (although they didn't have it available to buy, just had one on display) and wines that weren't on the menu, which again isn't a biggie, but a little strange. The staff were friendly. We paid just over 32.50 for the pizza, pasta, glass of wine, and a beer, which we felt was fair, especially as the food was so nice. Overall, we enjoyed the food and would go back again.”
“Good food, and very good coffee. Obviously a popular place for lunch and the soup and cheese toastie went down a treat. Thank you.”
“I've been here a few times now and I can safely say I'll be calling in many more times whilst I'm working in Shrewsbury. The food is spot on and the strawberry milkshakes are the best I've ever had. They have homemade cakes as well but I am yet to sample them. Perhaps on my next visit.... If you're on Castle Street and fancy a bite, I highly recommend you call in.”
“Roaches Tea Room and Restaurant is a charming eatery in Staffordshire, ideally situated near the popular Roaches and Lud's Church walking trails. The venue boasts a rustic, countryside ambiance, with a beautiful blend of wood and stone, offering stunning views of the surrounding landscape. Their menu caters to a variety of tastes, including gluten-free options, and features a delightful selection of sandwiches, cakes, teas, and coffee. Although the service can feel a bit limited due to the small staff, the warm atmosphere makes up for it. Restrooms are located outside, and there is ample parking available.”
“Eggettes is such a gem in Keele! The bubble tea tastes amazing—easily some of the best I’ve had. The shop is cozy and full of adorable decorations, making it perfect for taking photos while you enjoy your drink. It’s a great spot to hang out with friends or just relax. The staff are super friendly and helpful, especially Jesslyn Yeom, who went above and beyond to make our visit special. Plus, everything is really affordable. Highly recommend checking it out!”
“Lovely place for a lunch and cuppa. The Derbyshire oatcakes are scrumptious! Thank you to all the staff for making our time here such a pleasant one.”
“Lovely place for kids to play! Feels safe and can let your children be children without the worry of them getting out of the play area. Would definitely recommend. Safe are helpful and very friendly.”
“Really enjoyable experience coming here. There’s a staff member, possibly the manager, wearing pink trainers who always keeps things running well and with a smile on her face.”
“Great place. Good food/coffee. Great service. Would definitely call again.”

“We have been coming to Costa for many years. The best part isn’t really the coffee, it’s the staff. These are some of the nicest people you will ever meet; being super kind and friendly, and making some of the best drinks you will ever drink. They are the reason that Costa tastes better, because it’s the dedication and love into coffee making that’s the secret ingredient to a better drink. Sadly, the ‘chain’ itself, or its higher management so to speak, has made decisions in recency that leave you feeling a bit cheaped out on. Over the years we have noticed steady price increases (even befor the cost of living and inflation). While there is something to be said about struggling business these days, Costa is by no means small and they are owned by Coca-Cola. They are not struggling for money. Furthermore, shortly after a recent price hike for all of the food at Costa, Costa started taking out sausages from their Sausage baps to go from 4 to 3. They then made them smaller only a few months later. This is a blatant cash grab and a cheap out from Costas executives and it is especially upsetting given there was no price reduction to make up for it. We recently also found out that these same executives are now not allowing stores to sell their leftover pastries at 50% off in order to clear them out, but rather throw them away if they aren’t sold at full price. This is a total waste and is a shame since these pastries can be quite expensive and they still get money with a sale rather than the bin. No blame can be put on their staff, they are doing their best and put effort into making the experience as good as it can be, but the higher management at Costa are only looking for a higher profit line, and it shows.”
“What an amazing duo working here this morning. A lovely welcome as soon as you walk in engaging with all customers. The girls were always looking to stay busy but always with a smile on their faces.”
“Best one , good service, good food”
“Home of the finest welsh rarebit I've ever had. I hope they still do it!”
