“A great pub. Great food and drink. Landlord is a gentleman and his wife a fantastic cook. I always have the gammon washed down with a few beers. Menu is varied, TVs not too intrusive and a good selection of drinks including the local gin. Take plenty of cash as they do not take cards. (they now take cards, still a fantastic pub:) I would travel to visit this pub but am lucky enough to live 2 mins away!”

“we stayed in the triple bed room for two adults and child, clean room and bright with bathroom, all self service,code at the front of the accommodation and a code at your room door. Slept well in the massive comfortable bed.”

“Can’t rate the food at the Rose and Crown high enough for the cost. Really top notch quality for the cost. I had the large fish and chips, the wife had the small and the daughter small gammon, egg, pineapple and chips. All of the special menu. 3 plates, 3drinks, £45….bargain!”

“Just moved to the area and unfortunately had a breakdown. After reading reviews I decided to contact Neil at crown. Even though I contacted him late at night, he replied straight away, and within 10 mins recovery was arranged for the next morning. Neil arrived promptly and advised me on the problem, and was quickly on the road taking my car to Stafford. The whole process was so smooth and Neil really is a lovely guy. Wouldn't hesitate to use him again or recommend him to anyone. Thanks Neil *****”

I was well looked after and made to feel incredibly comfortable; the practice has also been very accommodating to my mother’s work schedule as a nurse whenever she hasn’t been able to make it to appointments.”
