“BALM FOR THE SOUL Hippos rest it’s a small welcoming cottage that’s big on comfort, where everything you see makes you smile, from the quirky ornaments to the gorgeous baby ducklings and alpacas. We received a warm welcome from the owners Kerry and Ian and we immediately felt at home. The attention to detail is second to none and we wanted for nothing. We had access to their beautiful garden with its large pond and colourful borders and resident ducks. There was a lovely welcome pack and lots of books and videos to choose from. The cottage is situated at the end of the village near to open green fields and the area is pleasant and has many interesting places to visit. We went to Jodrell Bank, Trentham Gardens and several National Trust places. I would definitely recommend this cottage for a peaceful, restful break.”

The town it self is very pretty, we enjoyed a walk with our dog through the canals and open forests. And enjoyed the Wednesday market.
